Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Prepare work area for pre- and post-operational activities.
2. Load, unload, and transfer product to and from equipment and or
conveyors.
3. Monitor production lines, identify issues, supply and replenish packaging
materials as necessary.
4. Sort, weigh, wrap, label, verify or measure product to meet product
specifications.
5. Inspect and remove defective product and or packaging materials from the
process.
6. Arrive to your workstation prepared to perform tasks at a scheduled time,
and staying until work is complete, or until supervisor and/or manager
indicate work is done. Overtime may be necessary and is required when
scheduled.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
8. Set up, tear down of equipment, selection of pre-determined settings and
use of proper lifting, bending, reaching techniques.
9. Perform other duties as assigned. Identify any safety concerns and or
hazards and report them.
Qualifications
+ Must be 18 years of age or older

Work Environment
ACTIVITIES: Very active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing.
HEARING: Must be able to hear average or normal conversation and receive ordinary information. Depending on work assignment must be able to work in a noisy work environment.
REPETITIVE MOTION: Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.
VISUAL ABILITIES: Acute closed vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Must be able to frequently lift light to heavy objects throughout the day. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally with a partner. Ability to stand 8-12 hours per day on a cold, wet concrete floor.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Temperatures are frequently around 34 degrees, and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.

Sanitation Supervisor
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a 1st Shift Sanitation Supervisor for JBS located in Mason, Ohio.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly organized and hands-on individual to join our organization as a Sanitation Operations Supervisor. As a Sanitation Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day sanitation activities at our facility, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining cleanliness, training employees, and prioritizing safety. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
Responsibilities:
Sanitation Supervisor:
Supervise and actively participate in the execution of daily sanitation activities, including cleaning, sanitizing, waste management, and pest control, to ensure compliance with established procedures and schedules.
Conduct regular inspections to assess sanitation conditions, identify areas for improvement, and take immediate corrective actions.
Lead by example in maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility.
Collaborate with the Sanitation Operations Superintendent to develop and update sanitation protocols, procedures, and guidelines.
Oversee the inventory of sanitation supplies, equipment, and chemicals, ensuring their availability, proper storage, and efficient usage.
Employee Training and Development:
Train and mentor sanitation staff on proper sanitation procedures, equipment operation, safety protocols, and personal hygiene practices.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to employees, ensuring their understanding and adherence to sanitation protocols and safety guidelines.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, encouraging teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement.
Safety and Compliance:
Champion a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety guidelines, policies, and procedures within the sanitation team.
Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards or risks related to sanitation operations.
Collaborate with the health and safety team to implement and reinforce safety programs, conduct safety training sessions, and investigate accidents or incidents.
Ensure compliance with all applicable sanitation regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:
Implement quality control measures to ensure sanitation processes meet established standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any sanitation-related issues that may impact product quality and safety.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement in sanitation operations, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sanitation management, and propose relevant improvements or upgrades.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional relevant education or certifications are a plus.
Proven experience in hands-on sanitation operations, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations and industry best practices.
Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to lead by example and motivate a team effectively.
Hands-on approach with a willingness to actively participate in sanitation activities as needed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and develop employees, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Office applications.
Commitment to safety and ability to promote and enforce a culture of safety.
Physical stamina and ability to perform hands-on duties that may involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.
Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays.
401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule.
Base salary range of [$49,585-$60,246];
Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's quarterly bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
