Pay Range: $26-$35/hr We are seeking a dependable Industrial Technician to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial machinery, automation systems, and facility equipment in a production environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency through preventive and corrective maintenance. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on automation, mechanical, electrical, and conveying systems. Troubleshoot root causes of mechanical/electrical issues and complete repairs such as welding, fabricating, plumbing, or part replacement. Conduct scheduled conveyor maintenance and support Preventive Maintenance Programs. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, components, and fixtures. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components. Repair or replace motors, gearboxes, belts, pulleys, rollers, shafts, and chains. Maintain clean, organized tools and work areas. Identify and correct unsafe conditions; follow strict food safety and biosecurity protocols. Support safety culture and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Required Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of industrial, commercial, or facility systems maintenance experience. High School Diploma or GED required. Knowledge of electrical systems, testing devices, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Ability to read and follow SOPs and technical instructions. Must be able to lift, push, or pull 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Preferred Skills Trade school or technical training in mechanical, welding, HVAC, or electrical maintenance. Experience in food, poultry, or agriculture environments a plus. Familiarity with LOTO procedures and safety equipment (harnesses, hoists, PPE). Work Environment This role involves working in a fast-paced industrial setting with exposure to noise, moving machinery, confined spaces, temperature changes, and wet/slippery surfaces. PPE such as steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and safety glasses is required. Must be comfortable working at heights and outdoors as needed, while adhering to strict safety and compliance standards. Work on 3-motion cranes with VFDs (no encoder) or contactors, including 5-speed pendants or remotes. Service and troubleshoot uncommon brake systems such as Whiting SESA and Magnetek thruster brakes. Demonstrate thorough understanding of AC control circuit principles including Ohm's Law and voltage drop. Troubleshoot and repair contactor motor control systems. Rig up and install new crane equipment with proper safety and mechanical procedures. Explain repair plans, troubleshooting processes, and required parts to customers clearly and professionally. Properly diagnose mechanical components including wheels, bearings, and reducers. Identify and understand crane control components in hoist and bridge panels. Maintain accurate service records and documentation. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Communicate effectively with customers and team members. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of experience in crane service or industrial maintenance. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting tools and safe practices. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Work Environment This role involves working in a fast-paced industrial setting with exposure to noise, moving machinery, confined spaces, temperature changes, and wet/slippery surfaces. PPE such as steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and safety glasses is required. Must be comfortable working at heights and outdoors as needed, while adhering to strict safety and compliance standards.
