    The objective of the IT Asset Analyst role is to optimize both hardware and software asset costs, ensure compliance with vendor terms and conditions, and to minimize risk exposure. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining an accurate register of IT assets, and the policies, standards and processes that control them throughout their lifecycle. Salary Range $59,500 - $99,500 Core Responsibilities Acts as a subject matter expert with a strong understanding of IT Asset Management. Responsible for the daily and long-term management and tracking all IT assets. Develops and maintains well documented policies, standards, processes, controls, and workflows, that enable IT Asset Management throughout all stages of the asset lifecycle. Identifies savings opportunities. Improves and automates as much as possible. Enters and maintains information on IT assets in the approved asset tracking and normalization system, to address budgeting, compliance, inventory, contract, and cost needs. Works across teams to incorporate data from other tools to enhance the asset inventory. Provides planning, monitoring, recording, and tracking of software licenses to ensure compliance with license agreements and usage standards, service agreements, maintenance, and warranties. Oversees the management and use of software discovery processes and procedures, to aid in accurately tracking software deployments. Works closely with the systems management team to optimize automated solutions for enhanced monitoring and deployment/removal of software assets as needed. Manages multiple license types, software suites, and entitlements, and upgrades or downgrades licenses to ensure best-fit. Manages unallocated software licenses for reclamation, software counts for reconciliations and software discovery models for normalization. Develops strategies to increase Return on Investment (ROI) and minimize risk factors and losses. Defines metrics, gathers data, and reports effectiveness of IT asset management processes. Prepares risk analyses and financial, investment, and IT asset management reports. Performs financial analysis and reviews, such as Total Cost of Ownership and ROI to facilitate funding approval. Collaborates between IT and Procurement, Legal, and Finance Services to maximize contract value and mitigate risk. Experience with the ServiceNow HAM/SAM module preferred. Drives execution, demonstrates professional competence, works with minimal supervision and is self-motivated and reliable. Works harmoniously within the team and with other departments. Effectively communicates verbally and in writing. Acts with integrity and honesty, displays high ethical conduct and holds themselves accountable. Exhibits flexibility in response to changing demands, works additional hours as needed and is prepared to travel as required.
