Additionally, Parts Associates pick parts for repair orders for technicians ensuring they have all parts required for a job. Preparation and maintenance of the showroom floor is also necessary. Responsibilities Greet all customers and answer phones in a polite and timely fashion helping them find the correct part or accessory they need. Pick and preposition parts for repair orders daily and as needed by technicians. Identify, process, package and ship part returns. Organize part-core sales and recycling as directed. Communicate with manufacturers as needed or directed. Handle cash and credit payments and returns per procedure. Assist with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays. Order parts as needed daily. Process and ship parts for online sales per procedure or as directed. Fill customer orders from stock and place orders when requested items are out of stock. Utilize catalogues and computers to research replacement part stock numbers and prices. Timely updates and maintenance of physical inventory stock. Follow up on back-ordered parts to closely ensure prompt delivery upon receipt. Notifies customers upon receipt of back-ordered items. Notifies Parts Supervisor of any problems or delays in deliveries. Assists with receiving stock into inventory. Assists with conducting inventory counts as directed. Maintains professional appearance and a neat work area. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
