Job Description Physician-Methadone 907 N. Broad St. Philadelphia, PA POSITION OVERVIEW: Provides direct patient care in our outpatient opioid treatment program conducting physical examinations to determine suitability for medically assisted substance abuse treatment: Completes comprehensive physical exam of new patients and annual reexaminations for existing patients; orders laboratory tests and reviews serology reports. Captures a thorough medical history and reviews related medical reports from outside physicians. Determines diagnosis and classifies narcotic dependence. Determine initial dose for new patients; reevaluates existing patients for dosage increase/ decrease; and prescribes take-home medications.
