ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Maintenance Technician position requires a skilled maintenance technician to inspect, troubleshoot and repair a variety of conveyor systems, Packaging Equipment, and -Laser Guided Vehicles, also known as AVG-Automated Guided Vehicles. An in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repairs is required. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB * Regular inspection, troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and mechanical production equipment throughout the facility * Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical and mechanical systems on all automation equipment * Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions * Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted * Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority * Reporting damage, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical and mechanical units to the supervising manager * Documenting spare and replacement parts required and completing all necessary documentation for the same * Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment * Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed * Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate * Other duties as assigned Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:30PM Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour #IND123 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of 3+ years' experience in-depth electrical and mechanical experience * Proficient in working with voltages from 24 volts to 480 volts, (Single, and three phase) * AVG (Automated Guided Vehicle) or LVG (Laser Guided Vehicle) experience * Knowledge of working with HMI's * Ability to work independently * Proficient in Preventative Maintenance tasks and services * Automation experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment * Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines * Sound understanding of using all electrical testing equipment * Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools * Ability to operate a forklift * Should follow oral or written instructions * Team mindset * Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships * High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education * Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time
