What this job involves:
The Plumber is responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing all plumbing and water systems. You'll ensure reliable water supply, drainage, and fire safety systems that are essential to building operations and tenant satisfaction. This role combines technical expertise in plumbing systems with fire sprinkler inspection capabilities, requiring adherence to Ohio plumbing codes and safety regulations. You'll work independently and as part of a collaborative team to deliver preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and system installations that uphold JLL's standards of excellence. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse plumbing technologies while building strong relationships with clients and contributing to the seamless operation of high-quality commercial facilities.

What your day-to-day will look like:
Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures including sinks, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, and dishwashers according to specifications and plumbing codes.
Follow and maintain backflow inspection schedules while performing necessary repairs and replacements to ensure water safety compliance.
Perform sprinkler system inspections with ability to accurately identify, document, and repair deficiencies found during inspection and maintenance processes.
Complete work orders, inspection reports, and third-party reporting using basic computer systems while maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities.
Carry out regular preventive maintenance and inspections of existing plumbing systems while performing necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure high levels of customer service and client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of experience of plumbing in commercial, industrial or service repair environments.
High school diploma or GED.
Proven experience in commercial plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair with ability to work on complex building systems.
Experience with backflow prevention systems, testing procedures, and compliance requirements.
Basic computer skills with ability to complete digital work orders, inspection reports, and maintain electronic records.
Strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions while working independently or as part of a team environment.
Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service to clients and tenants.
Commitment to safety protocols with ability to adhere to and implement safety guidelines and procedures consistently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fire sprinkler system inspection certification or experience with sprinkler maintenance and testing
Experience working with commercial building management companies or large-scale facility operations
Knowledge of building automation systems and how plumbing integrates with overall building operations
Previous experience coordinating with external vendors and contractors on plumbing projects
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and digital reporting platforms
Additional certifications in backflow prevention, cross-connection control, or related specialties
Location:
Onsite - New Albany, OH
Work Shift:
3 days in, 4 days off. 4 days in, 3 days off. 6:00pm to 6:00am + Flexibility required.
Work Environment:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Perform overhead work while standing on ladders.
Navigate confined spaces (closets, crawl spaces).
Bend, kneel, twist, and reach in difficult access areas.
Regularly lift/carry up to 10 pounds; frequently up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 35 pounds.
