As Chief Engineer at JLL, you will lead comprehensive facility operations while shaping a brighter way for our clients through technical excellence and innovation. What your day-to-day will look like:
• Oversee maintenance and continuous operation of all building infrastructure including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and digital systems
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies incorporating preventive, corrective, and reliability-centered maintenance best practices
• Supervise and develop engineering teams and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and professional development initiatives
• Manage contractor activities and vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures
• Maintain regulatory compliance documentation, building drawings, single-lines, and all infrastructure records required by Federal, State, and Local regulations
• Support capital projects including BAS, electrical, fuel tank, air compressor, and lab relocation initiatives per MSA requirements
• Provide training and technical support on facility management systems including Get Service, ADP, WorkDay, Siemens, and Niagara BAS platforms
Required qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of building operations and facilities management experience.
•Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems
• Proven leadership experience supervising engineering teams and managing complex facility operations
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs, reliability-centered maintenance, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Physical Requirements
• Work in various indoor/outdoor environments and weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing, walking, and working in various positions for extended periods.

The Project Engineer (PE) is a key member of the site operations team. The PE has a leadership and planning role working with the Project Manager to assess and direct the feasibility of the schedule and production. **ABOUT THE ROLE**
**Candidate will support assigned service calls for 5-6 retail stores within a geographical area. Operating Engineer S2- JLL
What this job involves:
Critical Facilities Data Center Technician will be responsible for all MEP-related functions for critical facilities maintenance, including Mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls), Electrical (lighting, UPS, PDU, generators, primary switch gears) and Plumbing (Install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls
What your day-to-day will look like:
Emergency backup and hot water systems
Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required
Adjusts and maintains refrigeration, chilled water and air conditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilating and hot water heaters; pumps, valves, piping and filters
Install and repair plumbing/piping/tubing; replace seals on pumps
Fire/life safety
Wire single and three phase motors (single & two speed); run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, replace bearings in all types of motors
Install and rebuild pumps and motors; install and rebuild air compressors and heat exchangers
Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment
Install, repair, and maintain electrical controls, switching and motor controls. Operate and maintain critical equipment including UPS systems, generators, chillers and critical air conditioning units
Monitor operation, repair, and maintain refrigeration, water cooling and air conditioning equipment; boilers, heating, ventilating and hot water equipment; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment; recording readings as necessary to assure proper operation of equipment; responsible for reporting any problems/malfunctions
Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
Maintains a clean and safe workplace
Responsible for overseeing the activities of contractors working within the building either as representatives of the building itself or tenants operating within the buildings
Responsible for keeping records of buildings rounds and readings, all engineering logs and engineering data sheets
Responsible for advance training and notification to all contractors so that they are informed and knowledgeable with respects to the building's critical functions and the work they are to perform, including an incident contact response list
Responsible for understanding and complying with emergency escalation procedures
Ensure that the CWA (Critical Facility Work Authorization) is a well-understood process among the building staff, engineers, tenants and contractors who perform work on the building's critical infrastructure
Ensure strict adherence to Critical Awareness Process, Technical Bulletins, established engineering guidelines, processes, and procedure.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to work independently or in a small group setting
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent preferred.
Either a Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC's (or within 90 days of employment) or Licensed Journeyman Electrician familiar with Medium Voltage Industrial design builds.
Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills
Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred hands-on experience in a data center/critical facility, including UPS Systems, emergency generators, and switch-gears
