Job Functions:
Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities and equipment
Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, and equipment
Uses hand and power tools
Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment
Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
Install, maintain and repair pipes, drains, guttering, mechanical services and related equipment for water supply, gas, drainage, sewerage, heating, cooling and ventilation systems, and other duties as assigned
Replace and/or repair fixtures, water heaters, clean drains, work minor interior repairs
(drywall, tile, ceilings, etc.) reconfigure conference rooms, escorting, and other daily trade tasks as assigned
The candidate will begin on a 1st shift 9/80 schedule and then will be placed in a 2nd shift following the below:
9/80 2nd Shift: 5/4 days a week, 9-hour days - 12:30pm to 10 PM
Basic Qualifications for Plumber 2:
High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of maintenance experience working in the manufacturing industry, and/or construction environment
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
Must have experience working in plumbing.
Must have the ability to support 2nd Shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Maximo Data Base for work tickets and job assignments

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Assemble, level and fit preformed piping/tubing, flanges, fittings and valves to products and measure, cut and bend tubing and piping according to established detail information. Work with and/or assist journey level Pipefitters as required.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
Pipe threading machines, Radiac and power saw, pedestal and portable grinders, pipe bender, tubing bender, cutter and flaring tools. Pneumatic, electric and hydraulic tools. Hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, files, hack saw, Ferulset tool, squares, tape, level, vice. Shields, safety glasses, gloves, etc.
MATERIAL:
Ferrous and nonferrous pipe, tubing, fittings, valves for products such as turbines, gears, generator sets, blowers, pedestals, reservoirs, land steam and special products, thread compounds, Teflon tape, paper, rag.
DIRECTION OF OTHERS:
Direct support personnel assigned in the performance of basic pipefitter duties.

Read and follow safety regulations and procedures and MI package including drawings, change notices, operation sheets, specifications and work authorizations. Assemble , level and fit preformed and straight pipe, flanges, fittings, valves and hardware where parts, locations and methods are established. Measure, cut and thread tubing and piping according to detail drawings and information. Measure, cut and bend by hand tubing to detailed drawings and information or from preformed sample. Load, operate, and unload pipe benders to bend pipe to specification where layout of piping and setup of machine stops and locating fixtures has already been completed. Clean piping and tubing arrangements for welding. Make proper time charge entries and record data as required.. Identify parts in accordance with method specified.. Maintain tools, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform other work of equal or lower classification as
required.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
A Minimum of 1 year of related experience operations/manufacturing environment

Fabricate, maintain, and install piping systems. Experience with steam and plumbing systems.
