Under general supervision, perform a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance that include, but are not limited to Industrial machine cleaning, pump out and honing of machinery, production waste movement and proper disposal, machine filter change, carpentry, painting, plumbing, waste management and general cleaning as needed. Provide support as requested of parts and maintenance inventory supplies required for the Facilities, Maintenance and Production Departments.
Candidate should be able to operates a variety of maintenance and cleaning tools and equipment to include floor scrubber, fork truck and pallet jack, industrial vacuum equipment and be able to perform related work as required. Candidate will work with Facility Manager to ensure that facilities are consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist Facility Manager with execution of the team's goals and objectives
Provide facility specific assistance as needed or requested
Perform light building maintenance as needed
Provide Industrial machine cleaning
Movement of machine waste to include filters and chips and proper disposal in compliance with plant processes
Preserves safe and clean work environment, following workplace organization standards
Collect and properly dispose of production waste and recycling according to site standards
General cleaning support as needed and requested by the facility manager
Provide quality service by following organization standards and safe workplace practices.
Other general facilities support as requested by the Facility Manager
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Years of Experience:
2+ years' experience with Facility, warehouse or production support
Skills and Knowledge:
Experience with fork truck and other mobile equipment operation
Knowledge and ability to comply with facility standards and safety procedures
Superior customer service skills and orientation
Ability to maintain professionalism at all time under stressful situations
Ability to multitask and work with or without direct supervision
Physical Work Requirements:
Must be able to utilize PPE when necessary
The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously for extended periods of time.
The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
Must possess the necessary hand and motor skills needed to pull and stock parts and to perform other job duties
The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects that may be 25+ pounds.

About the Role
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician 2, you'll perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and other building systems in accordance with standard operating procedures, manufacturer specifications, and safety policies. Assures that equipment is being maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner and down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs, keeping records of past operating experiences. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. Strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment on all HVAC/R systems. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC and refrigeration and be multi skilled in electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing and others in order to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.
What is your day to day?
* Maintenance
* Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
* Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.
* Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
* Safety
* Complete all required safety trainings as scheduled and Hazard Assessments as necessary.
* Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
* Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
* Administrative
* Update work order status in real time, utilizing CMMS system.
* Attend work and safety meetings as required
* Physical work requirements and work conditions
* Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
* Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).
* Working from heights; climbing a ladder, up to 30 ft., with a 300 lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
* Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required.
Desired experience and technical skills
Required
* Minimum of six (6) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical repair and maintenance. Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
* Universal EPA 608 Certification.
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Experience leading/supervising a team

Preferred
* Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CMMS
* Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC

Work Shift: Standard business hours (7am to 3:30 pm and on call rotation)
