The one thing I can say is everyone deserves a lot better than things have been for them in the last couple years. It should be intolerable that staff is miserable and conditions are not being met to insure both worker and customer satisfaction. Some of the staff I will not name deserve recognition and more for all the effort they put in. In my opinion, I feel like this company doesn't realize that its staff are the pillars for their foundation. Need to do an undercover investigation in my opinion on operations.
Highly understaffed with the usual blame towards payroll. Favoritism is huge if you decide to indulge their (management) whims. Definitely not enough pay for the hard work that goes into the job. Store is always a wreck, especially the restrooms, and lack of care is apparent with certain managers. Retaliating against employees is also a massive problem. There needs to be an undercover investigation into the store WITHOUT letting managers know. Too much gets covered up to look good for the upper management.
You learn a lot about customer service, cashiering, cutting fabric, and learning the layout of the store. Certain staff are a blast to work with and they are amazingly wise about their job. You definitely do get a foot in the door with retail with them.
the discount
Poor management at upper levels, monthly price increases, lack of employees. Only 8 employees work at our store. No time to get anything done. No benefits. Angry customers due to only having 2 employees working at any given time. Storage room is full, sales floor empty. Break downs in utilities never get completely repaired. The store is in disarray due to lack of employees.
There are no benefits for part time employees except for the employee discount.

The poor management and the short hours

Good work life balance, good people and always trying to improve the business.
Nothing specific.
Time to volunteer.
Helping people with their craft projects!
The management was very rude/not accountable, and the pay and employee treatment is very poor.
I liked the art supplies discount since I am an artist.
