Full-time, 12-month, Athletic Counselor (e.g., LPC, LPCC, LCSW, LMFT) masters-level position at Premier Sport Psychology (PSP) with opportunities to work with kids/teens/young adult athletes/performers of all levels in Edina, MN, as well as, likely an opportunity to work at the University of Minnesota Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in the Gopher Sport Psychology unit reporting to the Director of Sport Psychology Services on the Twin Cities campus. This individual will be responsible for conducting initial assessments, evidence-based brief- and long-term individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention, clinical consultation, mental health educational programming, and individual- and team-related mental performance interventions with PSPs clientele. Similar responsibilities will be required for 600+ varsity student-athletes, 21 varsity teams, coaches, administrators, and support staff within Gopher Athletics as a member of a 4-person Sport Psych team. The individual will collaborate with 20+ in-house sport psychology professionals at PSP, and design/deliver workshops, presentations and group sessions for teams, coaches, and staff both locally and around the country. This individual will be a point person for mental performance teamwork services for a select number of teams at the university (e.g. 2-3 teams) and expected to work closely as a member of a multidisciplinary medical team comprised of team physicians, orthopedic surgeons, PTs, psychiatrists, certified athletic trainers and sport dietitians. The individual will provide team consultation as needed and facilitate outreach about psychological skills that enhance well-being and performance. The individual will build and nurture strong relationships with clients and referral sources at PSP and in the university environment, as well as maintain timely clinical records of therapeutic and other client contact and adhere to both Minnesota and federal laws.
Premier Sport Psychology is currently seeking qualified candidates with demonstrated experience and expertise serving youth and young adult athletes, as well as collegiate student-athletes, who come from a wide range of different backgrounds. This position requires frequent evening hours and occasional weekend duties, in order to best meet the needs of youth athletes ages 8 17yo and the requests of collegiate athletic departments. Sport psychology staff also frequently attend home competitions and other outreach events on evenings and weekends.
Competencies:
Demonstrate strong?clinical skills and a well-integrated understanding of brief and long-term psychotherapy, evidence-based interventions, crisis intervention, consultation with other health care professionals, and outreach programming.

**Compensation Overview**
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

**What Is the Opportunity?**
Bond & Specialty Insurance (BSI) provides management and professional liability, cyber, crime insurance, and surety bonds to or on behalf of businesses of all sizes. The BSI Claim Counsel team conducts thorough investigation, analysis, evaluation, and disposition of claims and claim litigation to achieve superior customer service and to optimize claim results. Travelers' Cyber Claim Team is responsible for handling claims focusing on cyber privacy and security breach incident response, computer crime, infrastructure attacks and restoration, notification to affected parties and regulators, business interruption, consumer privacy liability, and identity fraud/theft. The First-Party Cyber Claim Team partners with and supports business units including Private-Non-Profit, Public Companies, Financial Institutions, Insurance Companies, Investment Advisors, and Professional Liability. As a valued member of our team, in addition to claim, you also will provide legal advice to our underwriting colleagues and non-attorney claim colleagues, and participate in BSI claim strategic initiatives.

**What Will You Do?**
+ Follow operational policies to analyze, investigate, and resolve BSI claims of varying levels of severity with moderate supervision from claims management.
+ Prepare and present reports for management that accurately reflect loss development, potential/actual financial exposure, reserve adjustments, coverage issues, and claim and recovery strategies.
+ Retain, monitor, and manage outside counsel actively utilizing litigation management plans and budgets.
+ Communicate with underwriting on significant claim exposures.
+ Continue to develop the ability to identify all recovery opportunities and coordinate recovery efforts with the Recovery Management Unit and Claim management.
+ Travel to and attend mediations, settlement conferences, claim conferences, field office visits, trials and depositions.
+ Refine policy interpretation/coverage analysis skills including drafting coverage opinions with case law included.
+ Strengthen the ability to negotiate settlements/resolutions, review releases and settlement agreements, including confidentiality and non-disclosure provisions.
+ Support underwriting marketing efforts, including participation in broker and account visits and risk mitigation seminars and authoring customer-focused white papers and articles.
+ Monitor marketplace conditions, conduct research, and draft reference materials to inform claim and underwriting colleagues on law impacting Travelers' underwriting and claim decisions.
+ Obtain and maintain required adjusters' licenses.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

**What is a Must Have?**
+ Bachelor's Degree.
+ Juris Doctorate Degree.
+ Properly licensed, registered or authorized, and in good standing, to practice law in the jurisdiction in which you will be working.
+ Two years of relevant legal experience.

Job Summary
This position reports to the Director of Counseling. The person in this position will provide quality counseling services to BCTC students. The counselor will perform a variety of tasks related to personal and academic counseling which are aimed at helping students achieve success.
Job Duties:
* Provides short term counseling for BCTC students on matters relating to academic success and social/emotional well-being. Travel amongst Lexington campuses is required. Some regional campus travel may be required.
* Provides referrals for students needing long-term counseling and/or community resources.
* Administers, evaluates, and interprets a variety of mental health screenings.
* Prepares reports related to various tasks related to counseling services.
* Maintains files which are confidential in nature.
* Provides student development workshops for campus community on relevant topics such as time management, stress management, note taking, prioritization, and goal setting.
* Provides psycho-educational programming for our campus community on relevant topics such as eating disorders, depression awareness, healthy relationships, or substance abuse.
* Provides services and resources that support students from all backgrounds
* Provides crisis intervention services for students.
* Acts as a resource to college faculty and staff regarding mental health concerns of students.
* Participates in student success programs/services and college-wide events.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field) and four (4) years related experience, or equivalent.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required to travel to multiple campus locations and community events.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree and four (4) years experience or equivalent
* Possession of a valid Kentucky Certification or Licensure.
* A background in higher education.
* Mental health and/or addictions counseling experience.
