Provide supportive counseling to parents and caregivers to assist with the impact of trauma experienced because of caring for children in care, including de-escalation, processing support, identifying coping skills, etc. A termination session will be completed to ensure that all therapeutic goals have been achieved and that any needed wraparound services are in place. As needed, attend meetings, staffings, and court hearings with parents or caregivers to advocate on their behalf. About the role Clinical Counselors with Living Well Professional Counseling are employed based on part-time status and are paid per session based on a fee schedule established by the agency. Counselors complete a W-4 and Arkansas Withholding Form upon hire. Clinical counselors demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit to build and maintain client loads. Every position at LWC is expected to adhere to the LWC Ministry Standard and Core Competencies and Values at all times. For this particular counseling position, we prefer a trauma-informed LCSW/LPC with experience serving children, teens, and families who will be available for after-school/work appointments. What you'll do COUNSELING SERVICES: Counseling shall be provided to families, couples, and individuals utilizing professional skills and Christian compassion. Involvement in other related ministry activities as time and skills allow, i.e., marriage enrichment retreats, parenting seminars, support groups, etc. Maintain communication with the administrative assistant regarding hours available and sessions scheduled.
