Main Objective: Provides legal advice and counsel for labor and employment law matters. Responsible for protecting the organization's legal interests and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide business oriented and accurate legal advice and counsel for all labor and employment law matters; draft, edit, negotiate, review and interpret related legal documents accordingly.
Identify and analyze legal issues, draft key documents, present clear recommendations, and assure legal compliance; develop strategies to reduce potential areas of risk.
Anticipate and mitigate legal risks generally with focus on labor and employment matters.
Research, analyze, advise and present on global labor and employment issues with diligence.
Communicate legal ideas, research and strategies at the highest level both in writing and verbally.
Draft and advise on labor, employment, and other HR-related workplace policies and procedures.
Conduct and assist with employment-related investigations as needed.
Possess a top-tier working knowledge of labor and employment laws generally, both federal and state, including administrative rules, regulations and policies.
Able to research, understand and advise on international employment laws and regulations as needed.
Manage and participate in all aspects of labor and employment litigation matters, including working with outside counsel, discovery and litigation support entities, internal legal resources and company stakeholders. Ability to be present in court, at depositions, at hearings or other venues as deemed necessary and appropriate.
Work as a team member with other professionals and staff in the Legal Department and the Company more broadly. Perform tasks in any area of law or office duties as directed by supervisors.
Up to 15% travel may be required.
Education and Experience:
Must be a graduate of an accredited law school with at least 5 years' experience as an attorney practicing labor and employment law, with at least 3 of those years practicing in a law firm.
Must be admitted into and a member in good standing of a state bar.
Management-side employment practice experience is preferred.
Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry is preferred.
Experience working in multiple state jurisdictions and internationally is preferred.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Advanced writing, comprehensive reading, communication and legal research skills required.
Electronic based legal research experience required.
As an international and multi-state employer, the ideal candidate will have experience in matters involving employee immigration and global mobility, as well as be familiar with state-specific legal requirements, including those in California and Colorado.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
LEXIS/Westlaw, Excel, MS Office, PC, printer, copiers and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Overview
Responsible for day-to-day activities associated with day care for Shelter participant children. Responsible for providing a strength based, child centered empowerment focused positive learning environment and experiences which stimulate children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development, consistent with established program performance standards. Will provide childcare, daycare and or youth development activities for children of Shelter residents during the day hours in place of sending children to daycare. Ratio will be 4:1 or 8:1 depending on age of children.

Community School of Naples (CSN), an independent, college preparatory school in Southwest Florida, is currently seeking an Associate College Counselor. This position reports to the Dean of College Counseling and expands the College Counseling Office to four professionals for an upper school of 400 students. The new Associate College Counselor will work closely with the current team to meet the needs of students in grades 9-12.
CSN is one of the top independent, non-sectarian day schools in Florida and maintains a PreK3-12 school enrollment of over 1000 students. CSN students are consistently top ranked when compared to all other Southwest Florida high schools when it comes to test scores, extracurricular activities, and college acceptances.
Responsibilities
Guiding all aspects of the college search and application process from grade 9 to 12, including meeting individually with students and parents and writing letters of recommendation on their behalf.
Meeting with groups of students and parents as they explore the college application process, including in advisory groups, class meetings, evening events, etc.
Assisting with college counseling sponsored programs and events for students and their parents.
Coordinating communication to the school community via innovative use of web-based tools, including the CSN website, social media, etc.
Visiting and developing relationships with college and university representatives through the coordination and booking of visits from over 70 college reps every year.
Maintaining electronic databases and updating student information in Naviance throughout the year, including standardized test scores, transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.
Supporting other school initiatives and events, including standardized testing administration, academic ceremonies, graduation, etc.
Traveling out of state will vary from year to year but will likely include both professional conferences (NACAC and SACAC) and college campus visits.
Understanding the college landscape to support students in their college research and goal setting as it relates to programs of study and/or areas of specialization such as athletics, the arts, etc.
Supporting and leading all other efforts and initiatives of the College Counseling Office.
