SUMMARY The Board Certified Behavior Analyst develops behavioral plans and provides behavioral therapy, and other therapeutic services to program participants. Purpose & Impact:
Key responsibilities include the direct supervision of youth residents, providing quality care, ensuring a safe and secure environment and transporting and accompany/supervising residents on outside activities. This is a direct service delivery position at a primary location, but the position may work at any one of a number of regional group homes within a reasonable radius as shift needs arise.
These group homes house adolescent teens who have aggressive behaviors. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who would be comfortable working with at risk adolescent males and females. The ideal candidate would also not be intimidated by youth who have been impacted by abuse, neglect, and trauma. Essential Functions:
Provide supportive environment for youth.
Assists children with preparing and eating meals, taking baths, maintaining hygiene, administering medication, and performing other daily routine tasks.

Provide daily security and up-keep of facility.
Develops, plans, coordinates, and participates in daily recreational and social activities, including outdoor programs and physical exercise.

Conducts group meetings with youth to discuss issues and address concerns.

Observes and documents the behavior, development and needs of children.
Maintains daily written records and logs of observations and concerns about individual children.
Provides responsive, high-quality services to Community Based Care Lead Agencies, the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Juvenile Justice, the Courts, the School Board and other representatives of outside agencies and members of the public by providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information, in a courteous, efficient and timely manner

Social services members at the PD-15 Judicial Circuit assist attorneys and clients in many ways, which varies based on the client's needs, availability of community services, the number of face-to-face meetings with each client, and the offense.
PD-15's unpaid/volunteer social work interns are typically local university MSW students, who work with the office for the academic year in order to establish and maintain a relationship with clients. MSW may receive credit for their participation. To expose first-year MSW student interns to the field of social work, interns learn case management, interviewing, and assessment skills through shadowing one of PD-15's mental health social workers. Interns also work with juvenile probation cases to motivate offenders to complete the requirements of probation and ideally achieve early termination of their probation early.
We accept two, first-year MSW students throughout the year.

SUMMARY The Board Certified Behavior Analyst develops behavioral plans and provides behavioral therapy, and other therapeutic services to program participants. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below: •Works with supervisors in the development, implementation, maintenance, and generalization of behavioral change oMaintains the use of least restrictive treatment guidelines in the implementation of Behavioral Techniques oDirects program participant contact in effecting behavioral change, primarily in the area of activities of daily living, behavior management and social skills •Provides Behavioral Therapy and Active Treatment programming in the residence job site, and within the community on an individual or group basis oSubmits weekly logs indicating objectives, strategies, and results obtained oConsults with staff, insurance providers, lawyers, service providers post-discharge, and family on treatment recommendations and progress oParticipates in family education and therapy as needed •Participates in treatment planning with the trans-disciplinary team and attends pre-admission meetings as requested. Serves as a member on the rehabilitation team. •Ensures evaluation, progress, and discharge reports on each program participant are provided in a timely manner oCompletes daily billing summaries on a timely basis oEnsures adherence to accreditation standards and ethics of confidentiality •Assists in coordination of behavioral programming within all living settings, community settings, and vocational sites as necessary •Provides support to assigned team oTrains and consults with staff in behavioral techniques oOversees work and trains BIT intern and practicum students •Participates in Behavioral Research Projects with the facility and Crisis Intervention System (On-call) •Performs other related duties and activities as required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES •None required Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job: Education and Experience: •Master's Degree in psychology or related field required •Five years of experience working with special populations in behavior management •Experience with behavior analysis within an applied setting preferred Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: •Board Certification Behavior Analyst ("BCBA") required Other Skills and Abilities: •N/A Other Requirements: •Travel as needed (Stuart/ Port St Lucie) Physical Requirements: •Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. The ARC of the Treasure Coast, a diverse and progressive non-profit organization assisting and supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, is seeking an Out-of-School Counselor for our after-school program.
Responsibilities:
Provide care and supervision to children during community outings while participating in the Out-of-School ARC program and summer school program.
Offer age-appropriate activities that promote communication, behavioral, and social skills.
Support individuals in developing independent living skills.
Inform the supervisor regularly regarding the progress of individuals.
Attend skill improvement training opportunities.
Complete the required documentation for performance measurements in the Children's Services Council grant.
Provide transportation using ARC vehicles for scheduled program activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED (or enrollment in High School or vocational program).
Preferred: One (1) year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
