Primary role is Responsible for providing group therapy. This individual will provide services as a member of the inter-disciplinary treatment team, coordinating with the Director of Clinical Services, and other team members. Core Responsibilities Responsibilities of the awake overnight counselor at Lochview CLA include but are not limited to: other duties include advocating for individuals to lead self- directed lives; providing care and supervision including med administration, hygiene, showering, activities of daily living, following behavior and medical protocols, and implementing all aspects of their IP; attending to individuals' needs during the night; readying the individuals for the day; timely status check call-ins, miscellaneous household upkeep and other assigned third shift duties; professional communication; and participating in staff meetings. Participate in all meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Requirements Must possess a high school degree or GED certification; a college degree is preferred. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferably in a residential setting; day program experience preferred. Ability to collaborate with leadership and stakeholders and work with diverse teams. Active CPR, First Aid and DDS Medication Administration Certification. Proficient in Microsoft Application and Therap. Excellent documentation skills. Must possess an active DDS Medication Certification. Description and Responsibilities Open Sky's Acquired Brain Injury programs serve adults with acquired brain injury and physical or developmental disabilities who are referred by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. These programs provide individualized services to help participants live independently in their own apartments. Our services include finding accessible housing, coordinating healthcare, supervising PCAs and arranging for transportation when needed. The Awake Overnight Counselor provides guidance, support, and perform various levels of activities of daily living during the overnight hours. Through implementing procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals, counselors help individuals live a healthy, productive, and independent life. We are looking for people who are available to work Monday-Friday from 10:30am-6:30pm. NCYF Therapeutic Counselors aid in the development of emotional strengths and life skills for individual youths by co-leading therapeutic activities and community trips and teaching and modeling age-appropriate social and living skills. A well-qualified Therapeutic Counselor is creative, supportive of youth initiatives, and able to engage with clients and their interests while maintaining proper professional boundaries. Successful Therapeutic Counselors with NCYF have knowledge of appropriate behaviors as it relates to at-risk youth, are skilled in crisis avoidance and intervention, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Therapeutic Counselors must be able to assess and evaluate situations and guide and redirect youth clients as a situation requires. NCYF Therapeutic Counselors are responsible for completing daily logs and required paperwork and must have accuracy in reporting.
