STATEMENT OF JOB: Career Coach works closely with the other Career Coaches, Case Managers, Therapists and Program Manager in the Living With Purpose program to provide responsive, high-quality services and programs in the White Mountain Apache Tribe under the authority of Apache Behavioral Health Services. The Career Coach for the Living With Purpose program provides employment support services oversight, guidance, transportation. Career Coaches are responsible for assisting participants with navigating program services, needs-related resources connections and entry into employment in targeted sectors and other related services to support client independence and retention. The Career Coach works closely with the outreach, partner development and services delivery teams to identify and match participants with opportunities that result in milestone achievements for program and its participants. Living With Purpose Career coaches' functions may include providing individual and targeted assistance with professional development and preparation for employment, identifying and connecting participants with education, skills training, work-based training, and placement opportunities, for work projects, transports clients and is responsible for the overall management of Living With Purpose career building.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide employment support services to increase occupation skills development and workforce retention.
Transport clients to appropriate services and work project sites as needed.
Developing and implementing effective coaching strategies to help participants overcome employment-related challenges.
Develops mock interviews for participants and coach's participants on job interview etiquette
Assist in the implementation of scheduled Living With Purpose employment support services evaluations. Conducts ongoing assessment to identify skill or knowledge gaps and compliance requirements needing to be addressed.
Provide individualized occupational support guidance on such topics as time management, teamwork, goal setting, work ethic and professional behavior.
Help participants write resumes and letter to prospective employers.
Help participants with job search skills, contacting perspective employers and completing job applications.
Help participants identify habits that prevent consistent employment.
Coordinate with Living With Purpose Career Coaches, Case Managers, Therapists and Program Manager to identify and refer high risk individuals to appropriate support services and community resources.
Work with Living With Purpose Career Coaches, Case Managers, Therapists and Program Manager to assist with the coordination, scheduling, outreach, and promotion of the Living With Purpose work project offerings.
Oversee work project sites to monitor attendance, ensure a physically and emotionally safe work environment and timely project completion.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. Submit requests for order or purchase of necessary supplies or equipment to Program Manager.
Maintain accurate records, develop reports and documents as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
