Just like the intrepid explorers of the early American West, you will need to manage your time, resources, and relationships to reach your destination. Along the way you will build relationships, representing AFSIM to that user community much like Lewis and Clark represented the U.S. on their trek. What You'll Do: Develop and mature AFSIM framework capabilities with an enterprise mindset Design and implement new framework functionality, including plugin development Collaborate closely with government partners, contractors, and the user community, both on-site and virtually Represent AFSIM to the user community by listening, learning, and translating validated needs into engineered solutions Apply structured engineering processes to analyze requirements and deliver sustainable capabilities Develop clear documentation for both framework developers and end users Minimum Qualifications/What You'll Bring: 2+ years of hands-on experience developing and modifying the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. government or military programs 3+ years working in agile software development environments Strong proficiency in C++ and Python Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure), and issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira) Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance Education/Credentials: Bachelor's degree in a STEM or related discipline U.S. citizenship is required for consideration, as this job requires U.S. government security clearance Highly Desired/Preferred Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance Acceptable No current clearance but eligibility to obtain Nice to Haves: Advanced degree in mathematics, physics, or engineering Familiarity with MATLAB / Simulink Proficiency in applying modeling & simulation techniques to support the decision-making process, to include the modeling of aircraft, missiles, satellites, and other military systems Experience interacting with users and other developers to identify, troubleshoot and resolve code issues Familiarity with the AFSIM community and data sources Deep understanding of the World Simulation Framework Experience managing agile backlogs and automated testing suites Ability to clearly explain AFSIM concepts such as Applications, Scenarios, and Simulations, and why they matter Exposure to other mission-level simulation frameworks Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position and work on a computer for prolonged periods This provides a high-level review of the responsibilities of the position and is not intended to be a complete list of all responsibilities, duties or skills that may be required for the job. Position Responsibilities for SUD Counselor: Completes Diagnostic Assessments and treatments plans on individuals seeking services for gambling, alcohol or other drugs. Facilitates therapeutic cognitive behaviorally based groups for alcohol and other drug treatment. Conducts individual and family counseling sessions to identify those problems the client has which may interfere with the recovery process and develop appropriate treatment for client. Makes appropriate referrals for further counseling and services to improve client's quality of life and improve likelihood of recovery. Provides case management, linkage and/or referrals to appropriate school, employment bureau, housing, health facility, or other community resource in order to enhance the client's quality of life and improve likelihood of recovery. Position Requirements for SUD Counselor: Ohio LPC or LSW required. Experience working with individuals with SUD. LCDCII, LCDCIII, LSW, or LPC preferred. Pay differential for LCDCII or above.
