The Footwear Developer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end development process from concept through production, ensuring product integrity, cost targets, timelines, and performance standards are met. Job Responsibilities
Development Execution & Timeline Management
Own day-to-day execution of the footwear development process from concept handoff through production readiness.
Manage seasonal development calendars, ensuring on-time delivery of prototypes, SMS samples, and production approvals.
Track and communicate development status, risks, and dependencies to the Director of Product Creation.
Technical Development & Product Integrity
Translate design concepts into technically sound, manufacturable footwear while preserving design intent.
Own construction details, pattern execution, sizing, grading, and fit consistency across styles.
Identify and resolve technical issues related to comfort, durability, and performance throughout development.
Materials & Component Execution
Execute material and component development in partnership with design.
Validate materials for quality, performance, lead times, and cost feasibility.
Manage material approvals and substitutions as needed to maintain timelines and margin targets.
Ensure all development documentation is accurate, complete, and production-ready at handoff.
Fit, Wear Testing & Quality Readiness
Lead fit sessions, wear testing, and functional evaluations; document feedback and drive corrective actions.
Ensure products meet Wolf & Shepherd standards for comfort, performance, and craftsmanship prior to production sign-off.
Factory & Vendor Coordination
Communicate technical specifications, construction requirements, and revision updates clearly and consistently.
Troubleshoot factory-level development and sampling issues and escalate when necessary.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Design to ensure smooth handoff from concept to development execution.
Work cross-functionally with Sourcing, Operations, and Production to support smooth transition from development to bulk manufacturing.
Participate in line reviews, sample reviews, and internal milestone meetings as needed.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of professional experience in footwear development, product development, or a related technical footwear role.
Strong understanding of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Experience working directly with overseas factories and material suppliers.
Proven ability to manage multiple styles and timelines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts.

Evaluate the risk factors concerning each such case, considering the appropriateness of, and professionalism in treating such individuals in an OTP in comparison to treatment in a residential facility or other treatment modalities.
Review and ask about other practitioners' involvement in the treatment of these high-risk conditions. Recommend immediate referral to such a specialist in case of need. Request the patient sign a waiver for release of information which will allow communication with the other practitioner in case of need (e.g., deterioration of the patient's condition).
Flag high-risk patients to the Medical Directors, Physician Extenders, and Regional Clinical Leadership (RCL) and highlight the conditions concerned.
Refer such patients to the Medical Directors, Physician Extenders or RCLs (Regional Clinical Leadership) based on the urgency, utilizing the informal Referral Policy or the scheduled Treatment Team/Case Conference session.
Review physician notes, following the Medical Directors or Physician Extenders' session with the patient, verifying that they noted and addressed the high-risk factor, or otherwise bring it immediately to the attention of the supervising counselor, as well as the clinic manager, until the matter's proper and professional handling by the physician or physician extender.
Advise, in writing, other staff members (including the clinic manager, supervising counselor, dispensing nurse and front office) of high-risk patients and their condition. Maintain and circulate minutes from treatment team/case conference sessions to the other staff members.
Provide professional counseling and referral services by:
Addressing patients' clinical and special needs by maintaining referrals to specialized (“second tier”) services rendered by physicians, physician extenders and counselors within Aegis, as well as referrals to Keys to Recovery (or other twelve-step) support groups, and other community resources (e.g., agencies and practitioners outside of Aegis), acting as a liaison to these agencies, as necessary.
Providing individual and group counseling as clinically necessary, to address the problem issues identified in the Initial Assessment and Treatment Plans. The counseling service will include protocols for the treatment of Relapse Prevention, Peer Pressure, Anger Management, Domestic Violence, Parenting, Family Preservation, Vocational Rehabilitation, etc.

This role will introduce new tools and processes developed and implemented by the innovation department, leveraging the Innovation Counsel's legal understanding and experience. The Innovation Counsel will also support practice group-specific resource initiatives. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
Support and provide attorney-level input on targeted legal technology adoption initiatives impacting the firm's practice groups
Design and prepare meaningful playbooks to help practice groups understand and implement best practices around the use of innovation technologies and processes
Organize presentations, status reports, and executive briefings
Collaborate closely with leadership in the innovation, firm operations, technology and practice groups in the request/initiative prioritization process, both in sharing insight gleaned from work with the practice groups and in evangelizing the existence and value of the prioritization process to the practice groups
Collaborative closely with other innovation teams to develop objectives, success metrics, and timelines related to legal technology adoption initiatives in the practice groups
Collaborate closely with practice management teams, legal project management and pricing teams to understand and analyze current practice group operational workflows, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to increase effectiveness and efficiency leveraging legal technologies
Work with other innovation teams to drive legal technology pilots, deployments, proofs of concept, experiments, and continuous improvements within the firm's practice groups
Work closely with the change management team to help them develop effective communication campaigns for practice groups and develop meaningful change measurement processes
Develop and maintain practice group-specific resources, and work with Practice Engineering and other firm departments to automate and/or scale such efforts

Skills and experience:
Required:
After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications

4+ years direct applicable experience (e.g., legal practice experience, hands-on experience with legal technology use and adoption efforts)
Active member in good standing or registered in-house counsel of the bar(s) in all jurisdictions from which you regularly work, as well as the jurisdiction in which your assigned office is located, if applicable
Juris Doctor(ate) or non-US equivalent
Experience in supporting and driving cross-functional projects involving legal technology teams, knowledge management teams, technology teams and practice group leadership

Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation of client services
