Aurora Behavioral Health System has an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Dependency Counselor at the inpatient treatment facility in Glendale Arizona. The CD Counselor is responsible for the provision of Substance Abuse/Co-Occurring Disorder related clinical services to adolescent and adult in-patient clients.
Responsibilities
Assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay
Develop treatment plans
Facilitate therapeutic group, individual, and family sessions
Plan discharge aftercare
Coordinate treatment services with community agencies
Develop programs and therapeutic modalities to treat adult and adolescent clients receiving short term, detox, and rehab services
Requirements: Associates degree, Masters Degree preferred
Required: Substance Abuse Counselor certificate-N.A.D.A.I, LASAC, LISAC,
Experience providing mental health and substance abuse assessment, treatment planning, group therapy, discharge planning, and utilization review.
Experience working in an acute inpatient treatment setting preferred.
Familiarity with 12 step and other recovery programs required.
Good organizational skills; flexible, and work well in a fast paced team environment.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Able to pass a background check, drug screen, and meet qualifications for fingerprint clearance.
