This is an exciting opportunity with an innovative, leading multi-national concern for a Software Engineer focused on building and driving the strategy forward for an internal Data Science/AI/ML platform. This software engineering role will work in a small, cross-functional team. The position will collaborate directly and continuously with other engineers, business partners, product managers and designers, and will release early and often. The team you will be working on is focused on building an AI/ML enablement platform to democratize Machine Learning across the enterprise (similar to Uber's Michelangelo, Facebook's FBLearner, etc). Candidate must be very strong in Python development, and have solid hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (GCP preferred), MLops, CI/CD, and have decent exposure to GenAI. Please note, we cannot work on C2C basis. Position Responsibilities Work closely with Tech Anchor, Product Manager and Product Owner to deliver MLOPs platform and Gen AI solution in GCP using Python and other tools for the data scientists and business across the company. Develop services using Python- we are looking for someone who comes from a backend Python development background. Deploy and manage ML models (MLops). Maintain and mange current CI/CD ecosystem and tools; setup and configure the pipelines. Examine, inspect codes / scripts and resolve issues. Help innovate standardize machine learning development practices. Experiment, innovate and share knowledge with the team. Lead by example in use of Paired Programming for cross training/upskilling, problem solving, and speed to delivery. Skills Required: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline. 5+ years of work experience as a backend software engineer in Python with exceptional software engineering knowledge. Exposure to AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Large Language Models (LLMs), especially their application in engineering or PLM. Monitoring tools: Splunk, Dynatrace. Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns with SAP in automotive manufacturing. Experience developing integrations/customizations for DELMIA (manufacturing) or SIMULIA (simulation) in automotive. Education Required 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. (Mechanical/Automotive Engineering degrees are also relevant if combined with strong programming skills).
