ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Develops, evaluates, and discusses possible turnkey HVAC solutions with Account Manager, Project Manager, Sub-contractor, Supplier, and/or customer. * Collects project data needed to assemble turnkey project scope and estimate. * Utilizes plans, specifications, and knowledge of construction industry to analyze project needs and compiles detailed cost estimates. * Supports Account Managers in developing and establishing project installation budgets and preparing the sub-contractor request for quotation's (RFQ) including: scope statements; plans and milestone dates; specs; permitting and bonding requirements. * Responsible for creating cost estimates consisting of materials, sub-contractors, purchased equipment, labor (start-up, service work, etc.), and other construction-related activities to assist Account Managers in bidding on or determining price of project. * Responsible for the take-off and pricing of purchased equipment to ensure accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc. * Able to communicate, schedule, analyze information, and take responsibility for estimating duties. * Review bid documents for potential conflicts and constructability issues. * Communicate with customer, subcontractors, engineers, and designers on changes or adjustments for estimates and ensure all project needs are met. * Provide key technical support in pursuit of Trane business, including participation on strategic job acquisition teams. * Responsible for developing and maintaining subcontractor relations, along with evaluating and categorizing subcontractors. * Assist and support all efforts of acquisition and customer satisfaction. * Some travel required; other duties as assigned.
