This position requires 100% on-site work. Must be able to work 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; may be subject to call-back(s), working extended hours and/or on weekends. Works inside and outside in all kinds of weather, on ladders and scaffolding at various heights, and in trenches and ditches; exposed to constant noise; exposed to electrical, mechanical shock, fumes/odor, dust/mites and chemical hazards.
Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the standard practices, methods, tools, and materials used in the building maintenance and construction trade; extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade; knowledge of building codes and permitting requirements.
Skills/Abilities: High level of skill in use of hand and power tools used in the building maintenance and construction trade; ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, sketches and specifications; skill and ability to perform acceptable workmanship, based on recognized building codes; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to perform mathematical calculations necessary for estimating quantities and costs of building materials; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City officials, employees, and the public; ability to follow oral and written instructions, and make decisions and perform job assignments with limited supervision.
Physical Requirements: Constantly sees and hears; frequently walks, stands, kneels, stoops, climbs, twists body, drives, calculates, writes by hand, holds objects weighing up to 50 lbs., lifts, carries, pushes, pulls objects weighing up to 100 lbs., infrequently crawls, drags objects weighing up to 150 lbs., cleans, runs, squats and sits.
Education/Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent; five (5) years working experience in the building maintenance/construction trade at journeyman level; requires minimum supervisory level experience of not less than five (5) years.
This position requires 100% on-site work. Must possess a valid Class C driver's license with a good driving record, class A/CDL preferred. Other state valid Driver's License equivalent to Texas Class C with a good driving record will be considered. Texas state law requires within 30 days of residency, you must possess a valid Texas driver's license. Applicant selected for hire will be subject to a background investigation and drug/alcohol screen test.

Responsibilities
Coaches and mentors direct support staff
Works to create a positive work environment and proper deployment of direct support staff
Addresses and corrects health, safety, and environmental concerns and reports safety and maintenance concerns as needed
Ensures clinical and behavioral support objectives and goals are implemented and documented
Provides oversight of dietary supports, including menu planning and grocery shopping
Ensures protocols for communicating medical concerns are being followed
Ensures medication administration records are current and ensures medical appointments are scheduled and met
Monitors the budgets and finances of the person(s) served
Collects and reports management information to ensure continuous evaluation and improvement of operations
Implements fiscal processes and loss control programs to ensure appropriate allocation of financial resources
Monitors employee schedules, Teletime reports, and Punch Correction sheets
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required (Exceptions to educational requirements must comply with state law and regulations)
Experience in providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities or related disorders preferred
Minimum age requirement is 18 years
