WHAT THIS ROLE ENTAILS:
This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with overtime available as needed.

Position Summary:
Conducts preventive maintenance for water distribution appurtenances such as water mains, valves and fire hydrants. Assist in the maintenance of water quality throughout the distribution system by executing Unidirectional Flushing Program.
Essential Functions:
Under limited supervision performs Unidirectional Flushing (UDF) Runs throughout the Water Distribution System to include valve operation, hydrant maintenance, system flushing and water quality testing.
Performs hydraulic testing on the Distribution System, which includes pressure and flow testing.
Monitors Distribution System water quality.
Locates valves and water mains in the field using electronic detection equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance tasks on distribution valves, valve boxes, and fire hydrants.
Generates reports on data collected from UDF Runs to repair deficiencies in Distribution System.
Responds to customer water quality concerns.
Provides supervision for Hydrant Maintenance Operator position.
Follows up on deficiencies found to ensure repairs are made promptly and correctly.
Create and close Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Service Requests and revise UDF Worksheets.
May be required to work during emergency conditions.

Constantly positions self to move, traverse in the field as necessary to perform required work in excess of 4 hours.
Ability to properly use and maneuver various powered and non-powered tools and/or equipment (to include but not limited to: shovels, probing equipment, measuring devices, wrenches, etc.).
Considerable movement and traversing involved up to 6 miles per day frequently and in excess of 8 hours per day occasionally at work sites on unpaved streets, uneven ground and cluttered work areas.
Routinely ascend/descend a ladder to climb in and out of excavations, embankments, meter vaults, manholes, confined spaces, etc.
Routinely and safely operate computer to include desktop and tough notebook laptops in the field.
Subject to noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. Hearing Protection Required.

Education and/or Experience

Five or more years of field trade work in construction (drywall preferred). Experience in the government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
* Establishing daily/weekly work plans and properly communicating them to the crew(s)
* Fill out or mentor the crew(s) to fill out a detailed PTP that properly identifies hazards and mindsets that could present risks and impacts to the team
* Coordinate with the Supervisor to acquire proper resources (equipment, manpower, materials, tools, subs, etc.) responsible to manage these resources in an efficient /effective manner.
* Enter time, fill out daily reports, track/enter units and evaluate actual production to target goals; responsible to ensure production goals are met or improved.
* Mentor crew(s) for growth and improvement
* Perform all assigned roles, responsibilities, and related work processes/tasks in the safest possible manner. Ensure that a safe, accident/incident-free work environment is maintained for all co-workers, customers, clients, suppliers, etc. at all times.

* Civil Group Pre-Req's for apprentice, operator tech, civil tech, operator and assistant foreman
* Mentor another into the assistant foreman role
* Ability to establish and communicate production goals to the team
* Ability to lead multiple crews
* Mentors the team for growth and improvement and encourages good morale
* Able to train the crews on best practices and core work practices

We are seeking a Commercial Drywall Foreman to join our Self-Perform team for construction projects located in the Charleston, SC Naval Submarine Base area. The Commercial Drywall Foreman is responsible for the layout and construction of framing and drywall installations on large industrial projects on a military base. The foreman will oversee a crew of framing and drywall installers to ensure all work is completed within the scope of the project. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position. College/trade school courses in construction management preferred.
* Two or more years of work experience in a Framing/Drywall Foreman position (e.g. Scheduling, ordering, field supervision, safety, and production) over framing/drywall trades on medium or large projects.
* Five or more years of field trade work in construction (drywall preferred). Experience in the government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
* Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) preferred. Training can be provided.
* CPR, First Aid Certification required; Training can be provided.
* OSHA 30-hour Certification and EM-385 preferred; Training can be provided.
* Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable.
