This position is responsible for controlling traffic in and around construction work zones according to established procedures and policies to ensure a safe and efficient work site for all internal and external workers and the public. Organize, transport and supervise flaggers. Undertake daily and other routine servicing and safety maintenance. Setting up flagging operations, including advanced warning signs, and flagging traffic. Supplementing crews who need additional flaggers due to intersections or busy roadways. Installing and maintaining lane closures on a variety of roadways. Moving equipment. IE Message boards, arrow boards, crash trucks, light towers, cones, etc. Installing permanent construction signs (occasionally). Contribute to the continuous improvements of Palmetto Corps procedures. Ensure all paperwork, PPE and vehicle requirements for your allocated job are met. Make sure all equipment is reloaded onto the vehicle as per procedure and is positioned in a tidy and safe manner. Maintain and store in good condition all company equipment.

We look forward to evaluating your application. Position Description The Traffic Control Crew Leader is responsible for providing traffic management services for construction projects. This position is responsible for controlling traffic in and around construction work zones according to established procedures and policies to ensure a safe and efficient work site for all internal and external workers and the public. Organize, transport and supervise flaggers. Undertake daily and other routine servicing and safety maintenance. Setting up flagging operations, including advanced warning signs, and flagging traffic. Supplementing crews who need additional flaggers due to intersections or busy roadways. Installing and maintaining lane closures on a variety of roadways. Moving equipment. IE Message boards, arrow boards, crash trucks, light towers, cones, etc. Installing permanent construction signs (occasionally). Contribute to the continuous improvements of Palmetto Corps procedures. Ensure all paperwork, PPE and vehicle requirements for your allocated job are met. Make sure all equipment is reloaded onto the vehicle as per procedure and is positioned in a tidy and safe manner. Maintain and store in good condition all company equipment. Position Requirements Must have 2 - 3 years traffic control experience. Must have valid driver's license and good driving record. Must be able to work all shifts and long hours.
