As an Earthwork Foreman at Lewis Environmental, you will play a crucial role in executing field assignments across our four primary service lines: Remediation, Waste Transportation, Industrial Maintenance, and Emergency Response. You will be responsible for the safe operation of mini-excavators (under 12,000 lbs.) and tracked or rubber-tired skid loaders. Key Responsibilities:
Work Planning & Execution: Review work plans and equipment requirements to ensure the smooth and efficient start and completion of projects.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory safety guidelines. Promote a culture of safety within the team.
Equipment Management: Maximize the utilization of company-owned resources and equipment. Ensure proper use, maintenance, and reporting of all assigned equipment.
Technical Expertise: Operate multi-manufactured equipment, including Bobcat, Case, Cat, and John Deere skid loaders and mini excavators, while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
Quality Assurance: Maintain quality control and quality assurance to ensure safe operations and project completion in line with customer expectations.
Documentation: Accurately complete all daily reports, including obtaining customer signatures on time and material sheets.
Ongoing Training: Participate in continued professional development, including certifications in hazardous materials handling, field sampling, as well as other required specialties.
Teamwork & Communication: Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure successful project execution and keep all teams informed of project needs and activities.
Support & Leadership: Enforce company standards of conduct and assist with the implementation of company policies and disciplinary actions as needed. Contribute to maintaining open communication at monthly field employee meetings.
Flexibility & Support: Assist in other secondary duties as required by management to support the company's goals.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an Earthwork Foreman or in a similar role within an environmental contracting company.
Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and successful completion of a criminal background check.
Licensing: Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including being on call during weekends and after hours.
Safety-Oriented: Strong commitment to safety, quality, honesty, integrity, and teamwork.
Training: 40-hour OSHA and related safety training preferred. Training will be provided.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
Ability to work in confined spaces and wear a respirator when required.
Ability to stand and perform physical tasks (50-70% of the time).
Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels in the work environment.

DSWA is accepting applications to fill a Landfill Gas Foreman position. This position supervises landfill gas operations at our landfill located in both Felton and Georgetown, DE. PURPOSE: This position is responsible for managing the daily operation of the landfill gas system at one or more landfills.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
Manages and oversees all daily activities of the landfill gas operations and maintenance.
Oversees and directs various personnel who may include laborers, skilled laborers, equipment operators, mechanics, wellfield technicians and temporary workers.
Orders materials and supplies needed for subcontractors and landfill gas personnel for all landfill gas field projects.
Maintain required data and prepare reports either directly or through direction of Engineering.
Installs landfill gas headers and collection systems for the recovery of landfill gas and odor control.
Conducts the welding and fusion of all new construction and repairs of old construction due to failure or relocation.
Responsible for on call schedule.

DSWA is accepting applications to fill a Landfill Gas Foreman position. This position supervises landfill gas operations at our landfill located in both Felton and Georgetown, DE. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. PURPOSE: This position is responsible for managing the daily operation of the landfill gas system at one or more landfills.
This is a safety sensitive position and requires drug testing as a condition of employment.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Manages and oversees all daily activities of the landfill gas operations and maintenance.
Oversees and directs various personnel who may include laborers, skilled laborers, equipment operators, mechanics, wellfield technicians and temporary workers.
Orders materials and supplies needed for subcontractors and landfill gas personnel for all landfill gas field projects.
Maintain required data and prepare reports either directly or through direction of Engineering.
Installs landfill gas headers and collection systems for the recovery of landfill gas and odor control.
Conducts the welding and fusion of all new construction and repairs of old construction due to failure or relocation.
Responsible for on call schedule.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
On-call for after hour operational emergencies.
May oversee projects at DSWA facilities.
