SUMMARY
The foreman places employees in specific tasks during the job to ensure the efficient completion of the project. A foreman must be able to evaluate employees and determine how each employee can help accomplish the job of completing the project. This is deemed a safety sensitive position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates tractor trailers and other necessary equipment including loading and unloading.
Supports operations by moving objects of size and weight, and installing and dismantling equipment.
Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
Place equipment on trailers for loading and off-loading.
Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety.
Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.
Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use
Report to customers or managers on the progress of the job, the estimated time left to complete the work and evaluations of employees.
Fulfills all regular and advanced installations/construction duties, including project layout, and completes paperwork in a timely manner.
Organizes, supervises, leads, and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframe.
Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain-falls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment.
Inspect rigging to ensure safety and reliability.
Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, brings problems to the attention of the Operations Manager, Superintendent, Safety Director, or HR Representative.
Follows daily foreman procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Check with Dispatch at end of job for further duties or end of day
Regularly communicates with maintenance staff about repairs and maintenance needs on major pieces of equipment on assigned job.

Supervise installation and dismantling of equipment, including the construction and breakdown of Tent and Mezzanine Structures, scaffolding, guardrail, and other items. Oversee and enforce company safety standards. Oversee operations of multiple crews for live event projects.

Responsibilities
**Job Summary**
The **Gas Foreman** leads the crew to complete daily tasks related to the installation and repair of natural gas pipelines and/or joint trench utilities for power and telephone in a safe and correct manner. The position oversees ensuring crew safety and productivity, installing and pressure testing both mainline and service line gas pipe, as well as completing routine safety inspections and documentation. This position oversees the Line team and works with customers, senior management, and personnel from other departments.
+ Oversee and coordinate crew work to install natural gas pipelines via open-cut or directional drill methods.
+ Obtain all necessary licenses, permits, and materials for each job.
+ Oversee, accomplish, and ensure all work quality related to each project and assume full responsibility for its standard and timeliness.
+ Coordinate and delegate daily tasks to crew members related to digging and placing product.
+ Gain entry to site buildings for work crew and call-in utilities located at each project site.
+ Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections to ensure the crews work safely.
+ Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
+ Train new hires and trainees to learn the trade.
+ Track employee hours and submit for payroll on a timely basis.
+ Call in utilities located at each project site.
+ Inspect existing utilities are properly identified and exposed, to ensure piping is correctly installed and fused, job meets customer specifications, and it meets company quality standards.

Qualifications

+ Must have a CDL Class A license, or obtain one within 30 days of hire date
+ OSHA 10 Certification
+ Must have knowledge of gas, and how to safely work with it
+ Knowledge of customer's specifications, being able to read and interpret prints

+ Must follow proper safety standards, procedures, and work practices according to MasTec and/or project customer, whichever standard is higher at all times

This role will perform all necessary documentation (i.e. delivery/pick up tickets, timesheets, extra work authorizations, safety plans, JSA's and scaffold inspection checklists, etc.). In addition, this position will serve as a mentor to the E&D crew to aid in their development.
Physical Demands:
Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 40 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job
Ability to safely and effectively supervise and direct up to 5 -7 crew members to erect and dismantle various types of scaffolding under the supervision of the E&D General Superintendent
Good knowledge of the OSHA rules and regulations regarding scaffolding.
Understanding of the various types of scaffolding material being used so that the intended loads of the scaffolding are not exceeded
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Scaffold E&D Foreman experience for a minimum of 5 years or approved equivalent experience
Valid driver's license
Ability to work comfortably and safely at considerable heights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates tractor trailers and other necessary equipment including loading and unloading.
Supports operations by moving objects of size and weight, and installing and dismantling equipment.
Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
Place equipment on trailers for loading and off-loading.
Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety.
Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.
Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use
Report to customers or managers on the progress of the job, the estimated time left to complete the work and evaluations of employees.
Fulfills all regular and advanced installations/construction duties, including project layout, and completes paperwork in a timely manner.
Organizes, supervises, leads, and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframe.
Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain-falls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment.
Inspect rigging to ensure safety and reliability.
Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, brings problems to the attention of the Operations Manager, Superintendent, Safety Director, or HR Representative.
Follows daily foreman procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
