Our rich diversity of people and ideas makes us a stronger, more innovative organization. **Job Summary** The **Gas Foreman** leads the crew to complete daily tasks related to the installation and repair of natural gas pipelines and/or joint trench utilities for power and telephone in a safe and correct manner. The position oversees ensuring crew safety and productivity, installing and pressure testing both mainline and service line gas pipe, as well as completing routine safety inspections and documentation. This position oversees the Line team and works with customers, senior management, and personnel from other departments. Responsibilities + Oversee and coordinate crew work to install natural gas pipelines via open-cut or directional drill methods. + Obtain all necessary licenses, permits, and materials for each job. + Oversee, accomplish, and ensure all work quality related to each project and assume full responsibility for its standard and timeliness. + Coordinate and delegate daily tasks to crew members related to digging and placing product. + Gain entry to site buildings for work crew and call in utilities located at each project site. + Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections to ensure the crews work safely. + Complete all paperwork in a timely manner. + Train new hires and trainees to learn the trade. + Track employee hours and submit for payroll on a timely basis. + Call in utilities located at each project site. + Inspect existing utilities are properly identified and exposed, to ensure piping is correctly installed and fused, job meets customer specifications, and it meets company quality standards. + Drive, haul, and/or operate equipment to/from job sites to assist crews in completion of work. + Keep the job(s) moving on time, clean up, and perform job restoration at the end of job. + Communicate with customers and inspectors. Qualifications **Minimum** + High school diploma, or equivalent. + 3 years of gas pipeline construction or maintenance experience. + 2 years of supervisory experience. + Class A CDL. + OSHA 10 certification. **Preferred** + 5 or more years of gas pipeline construction experience. + Operator Qualification (OQ). + Pipe fusion certification. + DOT Flagger certification. + First Aid and CPR certification. **Physical Demands and Work Environment** This job operates in a field environment.
