About the Role
As a Civil Construction Foreman specializing in Site or Utility work, you will oversee the execution of underground utility projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. You will utilize your leadership and organizational skills to manage on-site operations, supervise crew members, and maintain effective communication with management. Your expertise in construction management software and budgeting will be vital in optimizing project schedules and resources.
Responsibilities
Will be responsible for supervising crew members to ensure each project is completed efficiently, safely and profitably.
Knowledge in trenching and excavation, confined spaces and hazardous materials and atmospheres.
Must have site or utility foreman experience.
Responsible to ensure that construction projects are performed in accordance with company procedures, as well as safety, environmental and other regulatory guidelines and mandates.
Allocate general and daily responsibilities to crew and resolve problems when they arise.
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
Monitor crew attendance and performance while providing crew leadership to include correcting improper work practices through training, coaching or reprimands.
Ability to work in high-stress conditions and quickly changing environments.
Ability to work in varied outdoor conditions that will include physically walking jobsites in different stages of construction. This may mean wet, dry, hot and cold conditions and rugged terrain.
Excellent communication and written skills and ability to fill out forms electronically using an iPad or iPhone.
Process and submit timecards for crew and report on progress to Superintendent, Managers, Engineers, etc. daily.
Qualifications
