Hours of operation are Monday- Friday 7am to 5pm with some overtime and weekends. Candidates must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Employees in this position perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. This may include operating hand and power tools of all types, cleaning and preparing job sites, digging trenches, setting braces to support the sides of excavations, erecting scaffolding, cleaning up waste materials, and assisting other craft workers. Foreman installing storm, sewer and water pipe. Lays out, assembles, installs, main water pipeline, main sewer pipe line, storm drain systems, flanged piping and valve installations, applying knowledge of system operation, and following blueprints: Selects type and size of pipe, and related materials and equipment, such as thrust blocks, restrained joints tie ins, service lateral and fire hydrants according to specifications. Inspects work site to determine presence of obstructions. This position's responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing planning, supervision and documentation for excavation activities and pipeline installations. Responsibilities will also include training personnel in excavation and pipe laying, equipment operation, and other tasks involved in excavation and pipe laying operations. Identifies, verifies and reports any scheduling conflicts, needs, or deficiencies with other crews and subcontractors to the appropriate persons. The Foreman directs the site crew according to the project time line and provides the necessary training on proper safety and operational procedures. The Foreman is the front-line safety officer for the site/project, and is directly responsible for the safety of their crew. Understands and communicates safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance in all areas of safety, while identifying the needs for crew safety training.
