As a Warehouse Janitorial Site Supervisor, the following duties and responsibilities will be a part of this opportunity but are not limited to them:
Ability to lead a team in a complex task oriented janitorial operation environment.
Provides direct support to the Maintenance Operations Center Team and KBS Field Operations Team by responding efficiently, timely and accurately to all escalations.
Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways, breakrooms, and other working areas as needed.
Follows Janitorial Supervisor Task Process Flowchart
Familiar with supporting callouts by directly working or splitting up shifts amongst the team and shift lead by successfully covering operations daily schedules.
Delivers feedback on ongoing activities committing to timely escalation reporting procedures to the KBS Management Team
Requirements:
1+ years in a Lead/Supervisory role
Ability to follow OSHA requirements, safety guidelines, and forklift instructions.
Customer Service oriented, friendly, and positive demeanor with the ability to motivate team members and support customer requests in an orderly and timely manner.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required)
Must successfully pass KBS background check/ Drug test.
KBS utilizes the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software for accurate recording of employee work hours, attendance management, completion of required training, and distribution of important employment-related information. All non-exempt employees are required to download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out for their shifts and breaks. General Excavating specializes in the construction of underground utilities, environmental remediation, excavation shoring, directional drilling, hydro-excavation, and heavy civil including bridge and concrete structures.
The foreman is expected to manage construction and close construction projects that generate profits for the company. This role is ultimately responsible for the day-to-day management of several projects and onsite operators, tradesman and laborers. Directs, schedules, supervises and coordinates activities of operators and tradesmen to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities and personnel. Provides overall management of construction project sites and procurement through final acceptance, while ensuring project safety. Maximizes profits and controls costs to maintain stability and growth of the organization by performing the following duties personally and through subordinates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Oversee field remediation activities including soil excavation, groundwater treatment, tank and drum removal, and waste segregation in accordance with project specifications and regulations.
Implement and monitor environmental control measures (e.g., erosion control, dust suppression, dewatering, stormwater management) to maintain compliance with permits.
Coordinate environmental sampling and testing with project engineers and laboratories; ensure accurate chain-of-custody and field documentation.
Operate and maintain remediation systems-air sparge, soil vapor extraction, pump-and-treat, filtration, etc.
Manage handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste for transport and disposal.
Conduct and document daily safety and environmental briefings to ensure crews understand site hazards and work plans.
Ensure proper decontamination procedures for equipment and personnel to prevent cross-contamination.
Inspect and verify site restoration work, including backfilling, grading, and seeding to meet closure requirements.
Assist in developing and enforcing Site Health and Safety Plans and job hazard analyses.
Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, and inspectors during audits, progress reviews, and field inspections.
Studies specifications to plan procedures for appropriate construction methods on the basis of project start and completion time.
Studies staffing and equipment requirements for each phase of construction and directs and supervises construction activities and related workers/equipment needs.
Procurement of materials, tools and rental equipment at specified times to conform to work schedules.
Confers with and directs onsite personnel engaged in planning work procedure, executing work procedure, interpreting specifications and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays. This role includes subcontractors.
Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, engineers, contractors, inspectors, material suppliers and/or equipment dealers to resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems to improve construction methods and performance.
Inspects or reviews work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications, schedules and safety compliance.
Prepares recommendations for management evaluation.
Prepares or reviews reports on progress and costs related to materials, equipment and labor used and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
Confers and cooperates with other onsite personnel in formulating administrative, operational policies and procedures.
Investigates and reports damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed.
Implement new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or construction site emergencies.
Provide effective and accurate communication to supervisors, owners, subcontractors and subordinates by telephone, email, in person or written form to ensure project details and company information is efficiently relayed.
Monitors compliance with project safety program requirements. Documents and ensures corrective measures are implemented as necessary.
Enforces compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations.
Engages in continuous learning and training and provides mentorship to crew members to promote professional growth, technical proficiency, and a culture of safety and quality.

Education and/or Experience
Four (4) years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
