TITLE: Foreman - Refrigerant REPORTS TO: Superintendent JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The Refrigerant Foreman will report directly to the Superintendent and will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Refrigerant Technicians to deliver exceptional quality and customer service to our clients. Job Summary Plan, lay-out and perform all types of pipe fitting and fabrication work in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision. Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman. Must be able to read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards and effectively utilize all trade tools and equipment relevant to the work. 2. Must have a minimum of three years (level I), four years (level II), five years (level III) and six plus years (level Sr.) experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry and have an in-depth understanding of the pipefitter trade. 3. Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.) 2. May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors 5. Move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas. 6. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures 7. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis 8. Will climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds. 9. We are seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter Foreman with a minimum of 10 years of field experience to join our Building Services Construction Division. This leadership role requires expertise in supervising crews, coordinating complex pipefitting installations, and ensuring project delivery meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge of mechanical piping systems and a proven track record of managing successful commercial construction projects. Responsibilities Lead and supervise pipefitting crews on commercial building services projects. Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily work activities to meet project deadlines. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide installations. Oversee installation, assembly, and repair of piping systems, including HVAC, chilled water, steam, hot water, and process piping. Ensure compliance with company standards, building codes, and OSHA safety regulations. Conduct quality control inspections to verify accuracy and craftsmanship of work performed. Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain workflow and resolve job site issues. Train and mentor journeymen and apprentices, promoting skill development and teamwork. Maintain accurate daily reports, time records, and material usage logs. Proactively identify potential delays or issues and recommend corrective actions. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of progressive pipefitting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or foreman role. Advanced knowledge of commercial mechanical piping systems (HVAC, hydronic, and plumbing systems). Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage crews effectively. OSHA 30 certification preferred; OSHA 10 required. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
