    Job Details Toa Baja, PR $55000.00 - $74000.00 Salary/year Operational/Non-ERDDescription Job Title: General Foreman Company: ARG Ceres JV We are seeking an experienced and bilingual (English/Spanish) General Foreman to oversee construction projects across Puerto Rico. The General Foreman will manage on-site operations, coordinate crews, ensure safety compliance, and drive project completion within budget and schedule. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and fluency in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with diverse teams, clients, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight: Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines. Team Management: Lead, direct, and motivate crews, including subcontractors, laborers, and equipment operators, fostering a productive and safe work environment. Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA and local safety regulations, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure all personnel follow safety protocols. Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to align on project goals, resolve issues, and maintain quality standards. Scheduling & Resource Allocation: Develop and monitor work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment. Quality Control: Inspect work progress to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, and industry standards. Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for on-site communication, providing updates to project managers and clients in both English and Spanish. Problem Solving: Address and resolve on-site challenges, such as delays, equipment issues, or conflicts, in a timely manner. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, labor hours, material usage, and project progress reports. Compliance: Ensure all work complies with Puerto Rico's building codes, permits, and regulations. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role. Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required for effective communication with diverse teams and clients. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field preferred. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment; ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Leadership: Proven ability to manage and motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive work environment. Certifications: OSHA 30 certification preferred; additional certifications in construction safety or management a plus. Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Puerto Rico's construction regulations, building codes, and environmental considerations. Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate active construction sites. Other Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills; proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) is a plus. Work Environment: Primarily on-site at various construction projects across Puerto Rico. May require occasional evening, weekend, or overtime work to meet project deadlines. Exposure to typical construction site conditions, including noise, dust, and heavy machinery. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May vary from site to site and in some cases be greater or lesser than indicated here. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
