We are currently looking for a Construction Field Technician III / Foreman to be responsible for network element deployment during the telecom implementation (TI) phase of the project. Typically, the Construction Field Technician III / Foreman will run a 2 or 3 construction field technician crew that performs mostly hardware delivery and installation of the product. The Construction Field Technician III / Foreman will ensure that all work is completed to the satisfaction of the customer in accordance with defined specifications and technical standards and those requirements for health, safety and quality are maintained at the highest levels throughout the implementation cycle. The responsibility of this position is managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, has a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined.A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detailed, specialized work is the major focus. The person in this position will require clearly defined work, responsibilities, and reporting relationships, ongoing and thorough training opportunities to develop expertise and increase confidence, and frequently expressed appreciation of the person's competence, conscientiousness, and loyalty. Essential Functions: Hardware Installation Management (40%) - Lead and manage multiple crews of three or four field technicians that will be installing, erecting, maintaining, repairing, removing, or retrofit towers and rooftop antenna systems. Will also perform third party inspections. Hardware Commissioning (10%) - Commission (test) hardware in accordance with the prevailing contractual share of the responsibility, specifications and quality requirements and document progress in the applicable Site Folder. Documentation (20%) - Construction Field Technicians III / Foreman are responsible to log all installation, test, close out and inspection results. The Construction Field Technician III / Foreman will be responsible for reporting the crew hours for employees assigned on their crew. Quality (20%) As the last representative on-site, the Construction Field Technician III / Foreman is responsible to assist in escalating all QA deficiencies to the Construction Field Manager or clearing the issue. Fault and Discrepancy Reporting (10%) The Construction Field Technician III / Foreman will be responsible for managing the contents of an assigned commissioning kit for the issuance of fault and/or discrepancy reports to document kit churn. He/she will assist in ensuring defective components are promptly returned for replacement processing and will document and report equipment and material shortages immediately. The Construction Field Technician III / Foreman will be responsible for assisting the Construction Field Manager on the installation of all network elements installed on site and other equipment as applicable and directed by the Construction Field Manager. Job Requirements: At least five years of wireless industry experience. Job related certifications safety, rescue, CPR, etc. A High School Diploma/GED or higher. Anritzu / PIM / fiber testing certification Connector certification (Andrew, PPC, CommScope, etc.) Previous experience working as a tower climber or in man lifts. Computer skills and knowledge of SWEEP and PIM equipment. Know basic architecture of GSM, UMTS and LTE. Ability to review and fix discrepancies. Understand basic RF Design for sites. RFDS knowledge. Ability to fabricate tower hardware and accessories to maintain, repair, and retrofit towers and antenna systems in order to support communication system operation using fixed and portable power tools and equipment. Develop leadership skills as part of the continuous improvement in order to gain the necessary knowledge and skills in the future to train and transfer knowledge to less experienced field technicians. Must know the basic RF and grounding safety standards for installation. Good communication skills (interpersonal and oral). Good English speaking and writing skills. Reports to: Field Construction Manager Supervises: Construction Field Technician I and II crew(s) Other Duties: Some work will occasionally be under adverse conditions (e.g. high towers, inclement weather, remote sites, etc.) throughout the US using safety equipment and hand, power and specialty tools. Able to transport required equipment and materials to work locations including remote areas to perform functions of the job using appropriate company and specialty vehicles. In-depth understanding of telecommunications hardware installation and turfing. Must be able to maintain constant communication and interact successfully with team and customer alike to understand project requirements. Must work well in a team environment and be able to work with a diverse group of people. Possess and exhibit a strong positive attitude toward customer service and be diplomatic in resolving issues. Overtime required as needed. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs of equipment. Requires the ability to work for long periods of time in a strong RF environment area. Requires working during the maintenance window hours (9:00 pm to 6:00 am) Job's Normal Work Environment: The work environment involves some physical risks and hazardous conditions. The position requires the use of standard installation equipment for cell sites. This position directs the work of 2-5 other team members and ensures assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the quality standards set by BrightView and BrightView's clients. The Crew Leader Driver oversees crews working in varying service lines, including basic maintenance, landscape installation, and supportive services like irrigation, seasonal color management, and chemical applications. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Prepare landscape trucks for daily operations, including loading and securing equipment (e.g., gas cans, mowers, trailers) and safely operating vehicles in compliance with traffic laws + Deliver services as specified on client sites while maintaining schedules and meeting service expectations + Identify and escalate customer problems or concerns to the Operations Manager + Communicate regularly with Operations Manager to ensure client needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded + Assist in resolving issues with customer service when needed + Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies + Oversee day-to-day site operations, delegate work to crew team members, and coordinate service execution with Operations Manager + Provide feedback on crew performance and assist in developing and training team members + Monitor and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, ensuring it is in safe working order + Accurately capture and turn in crew time logs through electronic time capture (ETC) + Log equipment usage and maintenance cycles + Perform maintenance on equipment, including: + Unloading equipment from BrightView trucks/trailers + Wash equipment and truck + Change equipment blades, oil, and air filters + Grease machines + Conduct EDVIR (Electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports) on assigned vehicles. + Participate in branch meetings as directed + Continuously look for more efficient ways to perform work **Education and Experience:** + Valid Driver's License + Must be able to operate various vehicles, with or without trailers + BrightView Equipment certifications + Experience in a landscape-related field + Demonstrated leadership among the team and with peers **Physical Demands/Requirements:** + Safely perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of various landscaping equipment and materials, including, but not limited to, backpack blowers, large containers of mulch/plant material, assorted sizes of lawnmowers, etc. + Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic + Work near or about natural bodies of water + Ability to work in extreme conditions - temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit + Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time + Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
