ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help develop high performing concrete construction crews.

• Act as a leader and enforce safety on job sites.
• Help facilitate effective work huddles (at a minimum) before work begins in the morning and at the end of the workday.
• Ensure equipment is maintained respectfully.
• Responsible for time tracking for crew members (Clocking in and out, attendance communication, etc.).
• Participate in pre-job planning meetings as well as after-action reviews.
• Communicate job status updates appropriately.
• Enforce Northern Concrete Processes.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise on the job.
• Take an active role in training and developing talent.
• Be able to read concrete plans and effectively delegate tasks to accomplish a quality product.
• Process required paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Assist in managing job schedule to ensure timeline expectations are met, as well as project completion at or below budget.
• Assist in maintaining job site safety and DOT compliance at 100% (including e-logs).
• Assist with effectively transitioning new hires into the NCC culture.
• Assist with Training and Development program.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or related experience and/or training 5- 7 years of experience in construction with shown upward mobility preferred.
• Ability to accurately pour concrete according to a CAD drawing.
• Proven leadership ability.
• Proven ability to collaborate and lead functional teams.
CERTIFICATIONS: Obtain and maintain within one (1) month of hire the following:
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A day in the life of a Carpenter Foreman at 3G Companies: This is a position that plays an important role in our construction projects. Based on a construction project site, they assist by leading our carpenters and apprentices. They help encourage and drive our safety culture.
Job Title: Carpenter Foreman
Reports to: Field Leader/Field Operations Leader
Purpose: The purpose of this job is to coordinate and train carpenters to deliver a high-quality project safely.
What you'll do:
Manages and coordinates field personnel and activities including:
Project layout and planning
Crew and workforce management
Work sequencing
Mentor and train carpenters
Assisting with crew's Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms
Tool and equipment onsite inventory
Attend foreman meetings
Coordinates and sequences work with other trade partners.
Maintain established schedule dates
Promote, enforce, and train on safety policies
Conducts safety walks and reports
Understand budgets for self-perform work
Maintain clean jobsite and ICRA standards
Represent 3G Companies externally to trade partners, clients, and industry representatives
All other duties as assigned
What knowledge, Skills, & Abilities you'll bring:
Experience in general construction carpenter work, graduate in an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
Preferred - Previous experience managing carpenters
Extremely detail-oriented
Strong leadership skills
Ability to use written and verbal communication effectively
Ability to see the big picture
Legal Requirements
Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass pre-employment testing
Must be able to navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
Must be able to work in a noisy environment
Ability to understand and enforce jobsite safety rules and OSHA requirements
Ability to work within one of 3G Companies' operational areas as assigned. This is an onsite role.
