Overview:


The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor with expertise in one or more areas of adult neurogenic disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), motor speech disorders, speech science, dysphagia, and voice/velopharyngeal disorders. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels, establish a research program, and disseminate research findings through various formats.
Responsibilities:

* Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders

* Establish and maintain a research program in their area of expertise

* Disseminate research findings through national and international conferences, peer-reviewed journals, and other formats

* Collaborate with other colleges and departments, on-campus programs, and centers

* Provide clinical supervision and summer instruction opportunities

* Participate in departmental and university service activities

Qualifications:

* Earned doctorate in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field by August 1, 2025

* Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)

* Eligibility for Florida State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology

* Experience in teaching, research, and clinical practice in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders
