Continuing Education Credit - Adjunct Faculty Pool (part-time)

Overview:


The Community and Continuing Education (CCE) program is seeking a pool of qualified adjunct faculty to teach credit courses within the Pierce College District. The CCE program develops and delivers a broad range of personal enrichment and professional development programming focusing on the needs, interests, talents, and lifelong learning goals for individuals in the community.
Responsibilities:

* Develop and teach course(s) as assigned

* Conduct assigned courses in a manner that promotes student success and incorporates various teaching styles and technology

* Work effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds

Qualifications:

* Meet professional/technical qualifications from an accredited institution in fields where they are readily available: a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and professional experience in the discipline field

* Subject matter experience or expertise

* Experience teaching groups of adult learners in a community or college classroom setting

* Preferred: professional certification in the field

Benefits:


Salary for credit class instruction is current hourly rate or by contractual agreement. Credit class instruction is a part of the bargaining unit, providing eligibility in the accrual of sick leave and participation in other benefits
