Substitute Teacher

Overview:


The Longview School District is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide instruction to students in a variable and on-call schedule. As a Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching lesson plans provided by regular classroom teachers, maintaining student records, and enforcing school rules.
Responsibilities:

* Teach lesson plans provided by regular classroom teachers to achieve district student learning objectives and course expectations

* Provide assistance and guidance to individual students

* Maintain appropriate student records, including daily grades and attendance reports

* Enforce school rules and monitor student behavior in non-classroom settings

* Work cooperatively and collaboratively with other staff and administrators

* Fulfill other job-related responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

* Valid Washington State teaching certificate

* Background check on file at OSPI (if not completed within the past two years, must be reprinted)
