IT Operations Engineer

Overview:


We are seeking an IT Operations Engineer to join our global IT Operations group, responsible for supporting, configuring, and maintaining multiple systems across our technology stacks. This role is critical in responding to tech support requests, building and configuring laptops, desktops, and servers, and optimizing the way we work.
Responsibilities:

* Support, configure, and maintain multiple systems across all technology stacks, including desktop environments, network infrastructure, and various application platforms

* Respond to tech support requests and provide real-time troubleshooting expertise

* Build and configure Windows, Linux, and mac OS laptops, desktops, and servers

* Support Windows domain infrastructure and critical systems

* Monitor systems and collaborate with specialized teams to create and maintain infrastructure that powers trading operations

* Leverage automation tools like PowerShell to create elegant, scalable solutions that simplify operations

* Provide technical documentation and maintain knowledge base

Qualifications:

* Passion for helping people and solving technical problems

* Solid foundation in information technology and networking principles

* Technical expertise in networking, programming, or system administration

* Knowledge and training in Windows Desktop/Server Operating Systems and best practices in a production environment

* Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and other common Windows administration sub-systems

* Clear, concise, and empathetic verbal communication skills

* Excellent written communication for technical documentation and knowledge base maintenance

* Flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend hours

* Familiarity with either the Linux or mac OS operating systems and/or technical strength in programming or scripting for the Windows or Linux platform would be a bonus
