Summary Operate and set-up stamping machines that cut, shape, and bend metal stock by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates stamping presses and related process equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures, work instruction and specifications. Positions work piece against fixtures or stops on machine bed or on die. Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction. Understands and comprehends quality requirements. Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and notify appropriate personnel of any quality defects. Ensure parts are properly stacked or packed for movement or shipment. Must perform daily start-up safety checks prior to machine operation. Must comply with all safety rules and policies. Ensure that any potential safety hazard is reported to management immediately. Must maintain a clean and organized work area. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
