Hourly Rate: $28.84/hr.
Sonoco Recycling, LLC is looking for a Site Supervisor for their Atlanta location. This position is a working lead position and reports to the Production Manager. Applicant must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and be called in as needed to resolve issues at the facility. This job requires a candidate with strong leadership and troubleshooting skills who is willing to fill in for production roles when necessary. Competitive candidates will have prior supervisory experience with outstanding safety, quality, and attendance records, a solid mechanical background and be a strong verbal and written communicator. Experience in the paper recycling industry is a plus.
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILTIES:
Responsible for the safe operation of the Atlanta Recycling Facility.Direct the work of the plant floor employees and contractors.Drives the Maintenance Excellence program for the plant including the completion of all daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks.Manage the repair parts and storeroom inventory for the plant.Responsible for the physical assets in areas of responsibility including buildings, machinery, equipment, and grounds and the periodic inspection of all. Informs Manager as to condition of equipment and facilities and recommends replacement as necessary supported with applicable costs. Required to learn and perform all plant personnel positions including but not limited to outbound truck/export container loading, van trailer unloading, skid steer operations, safe operation of the baler, efficient scale house operation, housekeeping, and maintenance. Responsible for accurate accounting and reporting of finished and unfinished goods inventory.Coordinates material flow and assists with grading materials.Constantly seeks means of cost reduction through economical use of all materials, effective use of labor, reduction of waste, improved methods, and scheduling.Informs and consults with manager in advance to taking any action on any significant matter.Performs other similar and related duties as assigned.
