Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a skilled and motivated mid-career Staff Archaeologist with 3-5 years of CRM field experience in California to join our Environmental Services Cultural Resources Team. This full-time position offers opportunities to lead office-based and field compliance efforts for major utilities, as well as support all phases of cultural resource management (CRM), including survey, testing, data recovery, and construction monitoring. Your Responsibilities
* Serve as a key team member (office/field) on major utilities compliance contracts and other projects
* Support pedestrian surveys, test excavations, data recovery, and construction monitoring.
* Support with reporting (CEQA/Section 106), tracking, execution, and review of projects
* Assist in project planning, scheduling, and logistics for field efforts.
* Oversee and mentor junior field staff, ensuring work meets professional standards.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local cultural resource regulations (Section 106, CEQA, NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA).
* Coordinate with project managers, agency representatives, tribal monitors, and construction crews as needed.

Your Capabilities

Pay Range:

* Operating scoreboards;
* Compiling statistics;
* Announcement and introductions at games;
* Taking tickets;and
* Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Required
* Equivalent to graduation from the twelfth grade.
Experience:
Required
* Experience and understanding of duties required for Athletic contests; and
* Experience in communicating with other game personnel, coaches and officials.
Preferred
* Previous experience in the operation of athletic equipment, such as scoreboards, time clocks or statistical books.
Knowledge of:
* Current technologies, personal computer, and associated office software such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and/or database software;
* Correct usage of English, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary; and
* District policies and procedures.
Ability to:
* Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties; and
* Demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students and of staff and students with physical and learning disabilities.
Physical ability to:
* Read and comprehend printed matter and text and data on computer monitors;
* Communicate intelligibly and effectively via speech, telephone, written correspondence, and/or email;
* Sit or stand for extended periods of time;
* Lift and/or carry 25 pounds; and
* Exert manual dexterity sufficient for keyboard and other office equipment operation.
License and Certificates:
Required
* Valid driver's license and eligible to obtain California driver's license upon hire.

This is a recruitment for a short-term/temporary position. This recruitment will be open until the positions are filled. Under minimal supervision, develop, market, and implement creative and engaging material for Community Programs' fee-based College for Kids program. Ensure that activities are safely and appropriately implemented for youth in an organized and professional manner.
Essential Functions & Qualifications
Required:
* Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of College for Kids students
Desirable:
* Teaching and/or work experience in the discipline;
* Experience working with youth in a camp, daycare, or other educational setting.
Additional Information
This is a short-term/temporary position. Students currently enrolled at Cuesta College will be given priority.
Applications and course proposals will be reviewed until the course schedule is set.
Placement as a Classroom Facilitator I, II, or III will be based on experience in the College for Kids program and/or other comparable work experience. This assignment has no guaranteed pay or hours and will start only after hiring and course enrollment requirements are met.
