MHS is hiring married couples to become flex houseparents. Flex houseparents are couples who reside in on-campus student homes, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students. Flex houseparents provide a consistent family-like structure for students and handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc. When initially hired, flex houseparents cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.
Benefits
· Salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple which includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more)

Qualifications:

· Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. No alcohol is permitted while on duty

· Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited)

REPORTS TO: Training and Enrichment Supervisor

This position assists in developing, coordinating, and implementing training and enrichment plans for shelter animals; participates in daily training and enrichment activities; and observes, collects, records, and communicates animal behavior and information to increase adaptability to the shelter environment, provide mental well-being, and support appropriate positive placements for the animals in our care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in enhancing and maintaining a culture of health and overall wellness for the animals in our care across the organization.
Contributes to the development, coordination, and implementation of training and enrichment plans and programs for shelter animals, as needed.
Participates in daily training and enrichment activities, including canine playgroups, as well as appropriate training and/or enrichment for all species of animals in our care.
Maintains a high volume of animal participation in training and enrichment activities every day.
Provides guidance and support on the proper care, housing, handling, and enrichment of shelter animals to internal departments, as developed by the management team, when directed.
Assists other departments in handling animals who are showing signs of stress in the shelter environment.
Supports the Organization to actively and continuously train, schedule, engage, supervise, and retain volunteers to ensure proper volunteer integration into the Training and Enrichment Team and provide the support/resources volunteers need to feel prepared and empowered in their roles.
Objectively observes animal behavior in a timely manner to best support their physical and mental health in the shelter and assist in successful and appropriate animal placements.
Records and maintains detailed information for every animal in the animal database.
Participates in reviewing animal observations, information, and history and contributes to discussions and decisions about appropriate animal placement, including adoptions, transfer, and potentially euthanasia, if necessary.
Performs administrative/clerical duties in a timely fashion as needed, including but not limited to: completing required documentation; provides information and assistance to internal departments and external guests, including communicating in person, by telephone, and through email; etc. as required.
Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Organization's service to its guests by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of a work team.
Provides responsive, meaningful, and compassionate service to all guests as outlined in the organization's Guest Service Charter.
Applies the principles of The Animal Foundation's Core Values toward the goal of bettering self, the organization, and others.

Education and Experience:
High School diploma/GED
Two (2) years of full-time equivalent animal welfare or shelter enrichment experience
Equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related experience may be considered.
License & Certification Requirements:
Some positions may require the incumbent to be at least 21 years of age, and possess and maintain a valid Class C Nevada Driver License. For these positions, incumbents under age 25 must possess and maintain a clean driving record, and be licensed for at least three years prior. Those over age 25 must possess and maintain a safe driving record that will allow for acceptable insurance risk to the Foundation.

This position plays a vital role in educating entry-level nursing support caregivers by ensuring that they provide safe, high-quality patient care. **This role will support the education and orientation of our Unlicensed Caregivers including Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Student Nurses, and Clinical Technicians.**
**A caregiver in this position works variable shifts, from 7:30am-5:00pm.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will: Design, direct, implement , and evaluate educational offerings based on knowledge, skills and learning levels of nursing staff. Assist in the development of department specific orientation and competencies. Assists departments in orientation of staff. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: T wo years recent nursing experience required with demonstrate d clinical expertis e to include clinical nursing experience, preceptor, BCLS or ACLS instructor. Demonstrated knowledge of education methodology such as needs assessment, curriculum development, instructional design, and principles of adult learning. Presentation skills. The Employment Specialist is responsible for training participants in a workplace setting. The Employment Specialsit will utilize specific teaching techniques to instruct participants in designated jobs at a work site. The Job Coach ensures all assigned worksites are maintained to the highest quality standards and implements WEAVE Solutions' mission and values by providing participants the opportunity for employment in a competitive, integrated setting.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Provides coaching and training to participants through use of training techniques to instruct on employer-specific job tasks, work responsibilities and skills, appropriate habits and professional behavior.
Fosters and promotes the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the workplace
Ensures quality and performance standards are maintained according to the job specification of the employer while still exercising the ability to hold participants accountable
Responsible for documenting and reporting compliance per WEAVE Solutions. Provides weekly daily reports to the Administrative Manager on progress of job coaching
Maintains regular contact with the Administrative Manager as appropriate
Assists individuals with completing applications and resume building
Fosters positive relationships with employers in the community and follows employers' policies and procedures
Presents self in a professional and appropriate manner towards participants, co-workers, community partners, and any other party involved on the support team
Participates in job-related training offered by WEAVE Solutions, Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Affair, and other local and federal training to increase skills and improve current skills.

Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrates excellent skills in communication, relationship building, and problem-solving
Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and community partners
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and procedures manuals
Ability to work with people that have severe, profound and/or multiple disabilities
Ability to provide accurate case documentation
Qualifications (education, training, experience, licenses)
High School diploma or GED required
Minimum of (2) year experience serving individuals with disabilities
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Work, PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Forms required
First Aid/CPR certification required
Workplace Support Training Certification (State of Utah)
Job Coaching and Job Development certification (State of Nevada)
Must be able to have a flexible work schedule which may include working evenings and weekends
Valid driver's license required and reliable transportation w/current automobile insurance
