The Workforce Specialist will work directly with the Teen Center Unit Director to create and manage workforce-related programs, establish youth employment positions, and oversee teens placed in paid or volunteer roles within the organization. Key Responsibilities Program Implementation Coordinate, and facilitate workforce readiness programs focused on career exploration, job training, and employability skills for members ages 12-18. Develop structured youth employment pathways within the Club (e.g., Youth Workers, program aides, recreation assistants, etc.). Collaborate with the Teen Director to align all workforce initiatives with BGCA's “Career Launch” and “Money Matters” programs. Plan and lead workshops on job readiness, financial literacy, resume building, and interview skills. Case Management Maintain individual case files for participating members, tracking career interests, skills, goals, and outcomes. Provide one-on-one career coaching, mentoring, and job placement support. Connect youth with local employers, training programs, and educational partners. Staff & Member Supervision Recruit, train, and supervise teen members placed in workforce positions within the Clubs. Support site directors in managing youth staff performance and professional growth. Evaluate member progress and provide feedback to ensure skill development and job success. Administration Maintain attendance, performance, and outcome records in accordance with organizational and grant requirements. Assist with program evaluation, data collection, and reporting for grants Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience working with teens in career readiness, education, or youth development. Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with youth populations. Experience in coaching, training, or mentoring young people for employment success. Knowledge of local workforce and community resources is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
