What you will do
Perform HVAC Control systems programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and preventative maintenance as it is related to mechanical, electrical, and low voltage controls components.
Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools as well as a variety of hand tools including electrical testing meters and other electronic testing equipment.
Provide front line technical and repair support through effective communications with Johnson Controls customers.
Provide system repair and or update recommendations and assist in proposing of recommendations to Johnson Controls customers.

How you will do it
Loading Johnson Controls field and network level controller software.
Performing commissioning and system diagnostics for all levels of system controllers as well as end
devices (i.e. Sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation.
Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
Documents changes and provides information for as-built documentation.
Execute company sponsored as well as personally initiated training to insure the highest level of knowledge and capability are maintained
Engage with customers to fully understand their systems and needs.
Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.
Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
What we look for
Required
Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or 2+ years experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequence and applications
Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields
Able to use hand, power tools and electrical testing equipment such as a multi meter.
Solid knowledge base in use of personal computers.
Attention to detail.
Good communication and listening skills.

Job Description
The HVAC/R Service Technician will provide service, installation, and preventative maintenance to commercial HVAC/R equipment and systems.
Job Duties:
Installs heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and systems.
Inspects systems and their components for the purpose of ensuring safety, identifying necessary repairs, and providing an ongoing program of preventive maintenance.
Diagnoses problems and/or failures in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
Cleans air conditioning and heating units (e.g. coils, condensation pans, drain lines, cooling towers, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring units are operating properly and at peak performance.
Repairs various items, systems and/or components of HVAC/R equipment.
Procures equipment and supplies to ensure availability of required items to complete the necessary installation/repair.
Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders.
Maintains tools and/or equipment.
Responds to emergency situations during or after hours. CALL ROTATION
Demonstrate the ability to satisfy customers through the delivery of the company's and your personal service.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years commercial and industrial HVAC/R experience including but not limited to:

About this Position:
Equipment Service Technicians keeps equipment in good operating condition through effective preventative maintenance and equipment repairs. Effectively communicate technical issues with the equipment service and production teams and maintains equipment data and documentation daily.
Responsibilities include:
Repairing, maintaining equipment and supporting daily production.
Responding to breakdowns and calls to keep production running.
Supporting weekend maintenance repair and preventative maintenance activities when necessary.

Required Work Experience:

The candidate should be able to understand the refrigeration cycle and the principles of heat transfer. Can identify all refrigeration components and how they work. Properly replace compressors, motors, drive components, and electrical components. Able to locate and repair refrigerant leaks. Proficient understanding of fan laws and air side troubleshooting.
