Job Summary: Direct and coordinate shipping, receiving and warehouse storage of all materials and finished goods. Ensure that all labor efficiencies, quality, production, USDA and FDA standards are met and maintained. Responsibilities Organize the rotation and accounting for all goods; dry and refrigerated. Responsible for code date rotation. Ensure that item counts are correct on all shipments and incoming orders. Communicate with order processing the availability of finished goods to meet customer shipments. Advise them of any short shipments. Ensure shipments are packed and loaded according to order specifications and shipping protocol to avoid losses. Monitor the condition of the warehouse and equipment to maintain safety, storage efficiencies and overall solid manufacturing practices. Maintain standards of quality for finished products and materials. Notify the QA and Warehouse Manager of all quality deviations from standards. Monitor the usage of raw materials and supplies to maximize utilization; communicate with purchasing on inventory levels and unusual production needs. Schedule routine maintenance and repairs as needed in the warehouse. Monitor the safety of warehouse operation of daily duties including forklifts, gates, wrappers, etc. Process all injury reports and correct any unsafe work conditions as soon as possible. Write and deliver performance reviews and disciplinary notices when required. Ensure compliance with applicable quality system standards and the unit's food safety, and security programs in support of essential manufacturing strategies and practices. Serve as Alternate to Warehouse Manager of Yogurt Manufacturing on the Johanna Foods Inc. Safe Quality Food Team. Ensures for a smooth transition between shifts. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in manufacturing related field and 3-5 years previous supervisory experience in similar environment. Knowledge and experience may be substituted for degree. Proficient PC skills with spreadsheet and word processing software; experience with an integrated accounting system preferred. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Strong problem solving skills. Individual is detail oriented and organized; able to set priorities and follow through. Experienced at maneuvering forklifts as needed. Able to work varied shifts, including weekends.
