This role ensures equipment runs efficiently and meets all quality and production KPIs with minimal supervision. Functions Of The Position: * Machine Setup & Maintenance Set up machines by loading materials, adjusting dies and films, and configuring settings. Perform mechanical changeovers and monitor machine performance. Troubleshoot issues, report concerns to leadership and assist with repairs to minimize downtime. Conduct weekly or bi-weekly preventive maintenance. * Production Compliance Follow work orders, quality control standards, and sanitation procedures related to weights, packaging, product descriptions, dates, UPCs, cleanup, and changeovers. * Quality & Waste Control Perform quality checks and monitor material waste to ensure compliance with standards. * Team Leadership & Training Direct and instruct line personnel on specific tasks. Train other Level I machine operators. * Operational Checks & Documentation (5Conduct pre-operational inspections and complete required documentation before and after production runs. * Performance Standards Consistently meet or exceed production, quality, and safety benchmarks. * Material Handling & Support Load products into hoppers, stack and pack items, and perform other duties as needed. Train line personnel on job-specific tasks. * Machine Cleaning Clean machines thoroughly after production runs or changeovers. * Work Area Maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready workspace. Perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and equipment cleaning. Carry out additional duties as assigned. Food Safety & Compliance Responsibilities: * Ensure safe and high-quality food production by adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), allergen and sanitation controls, food defense/fraud protocols, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and other regulatory requirements. * Maintain and document preventative controls to support food safety and quality. * Immediately report any food safety or quality concerns to management. * Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and skills across functional areas. * Continuously develop technical, functional, professional, and leadership competencies. * Comply with all health and workplace safety policies and procedures. * Promote a safety-first culture by practicing safe behaviors, reporting hazards, and conducting safety observations as assigned. The employee will own results for clean inspection and lube, centerline management system, 5S system, integrity of process data, and the KHMS maturity in the area. This employee will actively participate in annual planning, weekly RCFA meetings, Daily Level 2 meetings and DPM meetings. This employee will lead transformation analysis, centerline definition, and associated standard development. Develop control strategies to enable operators to respond to out-of-control situations. Leads root cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses for the process. Coaches' teams on CIL, CLM, 5S, FSQ, and KHMS execution. Coaches and develop teams by building problem solving skills within the process. Establish countermeasures in planning for the day. * Works with Process Owner, and Maintenance Lead to address sporadic losses. * Implement problem solving tools such as 5W1H,5Whys, Fishbone, RCFA, PDCA to eliminate chronic losses for the line. * Manage DMS by using digital platforms such as Power BI and CWP; provide actions and feedback when DMS needs to improve; create countermeasures for any outages. * Perform all other duties assigned by management. * Comply with all established GMP, Housekeeping guidelines, housekeeping responsibilities, and QRMP operating procedures. * Assist in the implementation of the QRMP program and act as trainer of new associates. * Flexibility to adjust to shifts to work with employees from all shifts as required. * AM Step 2 qualified or demonstrate expertise in CIL, Basic Problem Solving (5W, 1H). * Participate &/or plan Base Condition Events for the ownership areas * Willingness to become a Centerline Management System qualified within one month. * Willingness to become Yellow/Green Belt qualified within one year. * Works overtime as necessary. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: * Frequent standing and walking are required. * Prolonged periods working on feet and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
