The Senior Cost Accountant provides essential financial support through cost analysis and monthly reporting. This role requires a solid understanding of financial and cost accounting, manufacturing reporting systems, and the ability to deliver accurate and insightful data to both Plant and Corporate management.
This position is 4 days a week on-site in Elgin, IL.
Functions of the Position:
Prepares reports and commentary on actual monthly results for the plant, including comparative analysis to budget and prior year. Meets with plant management to review results and ensure accuracy of production standards.
Performs month-end and pre-month-end duties.
Develops and implements written procedures to standardize costing and product output cost analysis.
Prepares and reviews reports and analysis on operational performance and makes recommendations as appropriate.
Analyzes production yields, costs, and efficiencies.
Analyzes item bills of material and routings against actual results and makes necessary adjustments using QAD and Microsoft applications.
Assists with reviewing all plant outgoing reporting.
Creates concise summaries for senior management to highlight findings.
Provides cost accounting support to the plant and serves as a liaison between remote locations and Corporate Accounting.
Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline required.
Minimum of three to five years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and report generation.
Excellent analytical abilities with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience developing standard costs, understanding bill of material concepts, and analyzing manufacturing variances.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 5%.

About the Role:
The Food Scientist supports the Value Engineering team by leading the design, planning, validation, and implementation of cost savings, efficiency improvements, and consolidation projects across the TreeHouse Foods portfolio. Working under limited supervision, this role applies sound scientific methods from bench development through commercialization, ensuring project objectives are met while maintaining product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
The Food Scientist is responsible for defining formulation, nutritional, and process parameters, executing lab and plant trials, analyzing data, and developing solutions that achieve business goals. This position partners cross-functionally with Division R&D, QA, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Business Unit leads to ensure alignment, while also providing technical oversight during internal and external plant trials and start-ups.
In addition to strong technical expertise, the Food Scientist brings effective project management and communication skills to influence outcomes, support customer meetings, and generate pipeline opportunities that drive cost optimization through formulation and processing efficiencies. This role requires an aptitude for technical leadership, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple projects across product categories.

This employee will lead transformation analysis, centerline definition, and associated standard development. Develop control strategies to enable operators to respond to out-of-control situations. Leads root cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses for the process. Coaches' teams on CIL, CLM, 5S, FSQ, and KHMS execution. Coaches and develop teams by building problem solving skills within the process.

· Analysis daily and shift line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities.
· Participates in internal audit programs, food safety committee, and sanitary design team.
· Spend time on the floor gathering information on stops, centerlines, and changeovers over the past 24 hours.
· Investigates initial root cause of top stops.
· Begin to develop a plan for the day for ownership areas.
· Attending and co-hosting the level 2 meetings.
· Attending DDS meetings and being able to provide constructive feedback.
· Discuss top stops and root causes. Establish countermeasures in planning for the day.
· Works with Process Owner, and Maintenance Lead to address sporadic losses.
· Implement problem solving tools such as 5W1H,5Whys, Fishbone, RCFA, PDCA to eliminate chronic losses for the line.
· Manage DMS by using digital platforms such as Power BI and CWP; provide actions and feedback when DMS needs to improve; create countermeasures for any outages.
· Perform all other duties assigned by management.
· Comply with all established GMP, Housekeeping guidelines, housekeeping responsibilities, and QRMP operating procedures.
· Assist in the implementation of the QRMP program and act as trainer of new associates.
· Flexibility to adjust to shifts to work with employees from all shifts as required.
· AM Step 2 qualified or demonstrate expertise in CIL, Basic Problem Solving (5W, 1H).
· Participate &/or plan Base Condition Events for the ownership areas

Position Summary
The Brand Manager, Marketing - Base will help with driving demand for the business, creating the long-term strategy, and developing and executing marketing plans. They define the businesses product mix, pricing, packaging, trade merchandising, advertising and promotion strategies and allocate the budget accordingly. * Changes equipment batteries, conducts pre-op inspection on all material handling equipment used and reports any equipment issues or damages. Properly uses and cares for hand-held scanning equipment and direct connect radio.
* Rotates inventory and follows FIFO (first in-first out) or FEFO (first expired-first out) process, depending on job function.
* Reports discrepancies, abnormalities and problems to the warehouse supervisor.

Develop and Leverage Network of research partners and vendors
Cross Functionally Collaborative with groups including marketing, product development, and sales
Express Insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders, using data visualization and storytelling techniques
Experience:
Advanced Degree preferred; 10-15 years in strategic insights/consumer research role
A minimum ten (10+) years of solid Market Research / Insights experience is required - experience working across a portfolio of products highly preferred
Leadership credentials in driving vision - prior people management experience required
Proficiency with different qualitative & quantitative research tools across advertising, innovation, & syndicated services
Proven ability to distill insights and drive impact into an organization - bringing the consumer to forefront
High level of tolerance for working in ambiguity, managing change and driving change management/transformation
Experience and comfort in POS (Nielsen/Circana), Panel, and social listening is required
High level of experience and comfort in analytical tools (e.g. MTA, Mix, Conjoint, etc) is required
Proficient at storytelling in creative, influential & impactful ways - excellent communication, organization and presentation skills

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$184,800.00 - $231,000.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): In addition to base salary and bonus, this role is eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity.
