Job Description: About the Role: Join our team at our Dixon, IL, facility, home to the production of quality aseptic products. We are seeking a Progressive Maintenance (PM) Lead to champion our maintenance and reliability initiatives. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for driving key activities within the Progressive Maintenance pillar, including Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (MP&S), Breakdown Elimination (BDE), storeroom management, planned maintenance optimization, and supporting Autonomous Maintenance (AM) efforts. The ideal candidate is passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence, with a strong commitment to equipment reliability and team development. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Supports the implementation and sustainment of the PM Pillar daily management systems (DMS) for the site. Conducts maintenance training on PM processes including breakdown elimination (BDE) or root cause analysis (RCA), maintenance planning & scheduling (MP&S) and defect handling (DH). Follows up with operators to ensure that defects are handled in alignment with standards. Ensure PM processes are executed and sustained by tracking and reporting PM metrics. Performs PM audits, as required. Participates in and/or leads Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings at shift and line level. Engages in plant continuous improvement efforts by identifying and escalating improvement opportunities, as well as participating in and/or leading process improvement teams. Supports technicians in identifying and solving problems that cause breakdowns. Proactively communicates necessary information to diverse stakeholders, responding to requests, building reports, and participating in problem solving methods. Develops and regularly analyzes appropriate metrics (breakdowns, storeroom cycle accuracy, work order schedule compliance) to govern system health. Interacts with Field Pillar Leaders to drive plant performance and implement best practices. Important Details: This is a full-time, on-site role on first shift. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts and weekends. The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $73,700 to $110,500 annually. Your role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility, ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and systems are functioning efficiently and safely. Essential Functions * Fill out daily log reports, emergency breakdown reports, work orders, and communicate with incoming shifts. * Perform machine set up and repair assembly and packaging equipment. * Perform preventative maintenance routines on all production equipment. * Ability to work on low voltage and 120-480vac equipment, starters, motors, vfd's, sensors, controllers, photo-eyes, etc. * Install, debug and stabilize plant equipment as required. * Read schematics and blueprints in order to interpret, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical issues to properly and safely repair. * Perform repairs and upgrades of the machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation. * Install electronic parts and hardware, using soldering equipment and hand tools * Assist in Production/Maintenance related assignments as needed. * Communicate regarding issues and problem solve with Production staff any quality and safety concerns. * Perform electrical and distribution lock out/ tag out method steady with customary safety protocol. * Record maintenance data as directed by the Maintenance Manager to monitor equipment performance, i.e. work orders, time cards * Identify and report equipment concerns to the Maintenance Manager. * Participate in overtime assignments as required. * Provide "on call" coverage as needed. * Mechanic is required to supply their own hand tools and a lockable tool box. * Working in a general manufacturing environment. * Perform other various similar and related duties as required by the Manager. Qualifications * Associates Degree in Maintenance Technology field and or equivalent Education, Experience and Training. * 1-5 years manufacturing experience preferred. * Through knowledge of Maintenance jargon, Maintenance Best Practices Knowledge; OSHA, safety, etc. * Proven ability to work in a team environment. * Working knowledge of GMP, OSHA and Production needs. * Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 55 lbs.
