What You'll Do
* Diagnose and repair our fleet - primarily Freightliner trucks, plus Kenworth and Internationals
* Perform PMs, electrical troubleshooting, air brakes, suspension & steering repairs, after-treatment service, charging systems, AC, and more
* Categorize repairs accurately (Preventive Maintenance, Component Failure, Abuse, Accident, Operations)
* Record parts, supplies, and repair stories precisely to support warranty claims and company records
* Follow safety policies to maintain a safe, efficient shop environment
* Provide top-notch service with clear, professional communication with drivers and fleet management
* Stay sharp with ongoing training on the latest diesel technology and repair methods
* Assist your teammates as needed - teamwork makes the dream work!
* And take on other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
* 1-2 years' experience in fleet maintenance or completion of a technical school program (preferred)
* Relevant certifications like EPA 609, Daimler, Cummins, Navistar a plus
* Hands-on experience with diagnostics tools (DTNA, Cummins Insite, Bendix, etc.)
* Strong background in Class 8 truck repair, including warranty work, electronics, and general maintenance
* CDL A or B preferred but not required
* Valid driver's license
* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
* Proficient in English - speaking, reading, and writing - to communicate effectively

Must make sure that the building is being maintained properly and is kept as a food grade facility.
The security of the facility and integrity of customer products is mandatory.
Supervise customer service associates to assure the office and warehouse are working in unison to provide 100 percent customer satisfaction for all shipments and receipts.
Inventory accuracy must be maintained by product and location.
All Customer accounts must be given proper priority levels that allows for required level of operations, administrative support, appropriate contacts and response to special requests.
Maintains High Integrity - honors commitments and the Values of TAGG Logistics.
Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job. • Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Four years distribution supervisory/management experience leading a staff of 10+ employees in operations of at least 60,000 sq. ft.
Experience with WMS, metric-driven operations, labor and resource management.
College degree not required.

Be able to listen to employee's needs and concerns and be able to motivate and create teams.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Tractor Mechanic in our Burns Harbor, IN location.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Perform quality maintenance, inspections, and repairs on company trucks
Complete related paperwork after each job
Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting
Operate all equipment in repair center in a safe manner
Keep all work areas clean
Qualifications, Experience & Physical Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1-year previous work-related experience preferred
Experience with Freightliner, Peterbilt, Carrier or Utility assets
AC certification preferred
Must be able to work well with others
Take direction as needed
Must have your own tools essential to perform the job.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
Must comply with all OSHA safety rules and regulations
